On Sunday mornning, I was happily soloing when suddenly I was disconnected with the message "you have been logged on at a different location", and when I tried to get back I got the message "Login failed. If you do not have an account create one blah blah blah". Of course this happens on a holiday weekend more or less, when I can't get through to customer support either by phone or online (although the website SAYS online is available today..... LIES!!!!!). Is it possible that this is the result of being hacked? And if so, is there any way to discover who has done the hacking? This is the second time it has happened to me, and I NEVER EVER EVER give out my account information.

This happens when someone else logs in to your account using your password and name! This is the only time that will happen! It is not a hack, no one todate has been able to 'hack' the DNS on EQOA! Somehow, you have let your login info get out and someone is using it! Or, you have a really really easy name and password setup, change it!

Before my old PS2 gave out on me, I was a dual boxer briefly. When I had one account logged on then logged it on the other box. I would get the you have been logged on at a different location message. However when you tried to log back in and it said login failed, I have seen this before. Along with, "You do not have an account". When these happen I just try logging back in 1-5min(s) later and they work again.

Have you been able to get back into your account since? If so it was probably just a momentary glitch. If not then I would say your account was stolen one way or another. Possibly off of the SOE website, since you have to use the same login info there.

Funny thing happened to me the other day, I tried to log in another toon after logging out my mage and I got the message the "different location" message. I dont give my information out ever, and i have a very odd system of making passwords. I changed my password just again to be sure but I think that somehow the game detected my mage as not logged out. Just a wierd story i figured id share.

Well, the interesting thing is, as I said before I never give out my account information and my pw is not easy BUT ANYWAY three other people in my guild alone had a similar thing happen to them. Our guild leader was dual boxing two seperate accounts when one of her ps2's overheated and she was forced to turn it off. Red light showing that the power was turned OFF after she had logged toon B, suddenly toon B popped back onto the area we were camping, ran up to two TFGs, pulled them into the middle of our group and proceeded to get everyone killed. Interesting that I was not the only person to have this problem all in the space of two weeks.

In the 3 years I've been playing I've never seen this happen. Nor, has there ever been a confirmed case of hacking the DNAS of EQoA! Sorry, but no is hacking that!

I'm not calling anyone a liar or anything like that ...just stating a fact. If, someone had infact hacked SONY's DNAS, we all would know about it! BIGTIME! Peeps who do hack sites, almost 100% of time will do it for the glory, what glory is there if you keep it a secret? None!

Sorry, but there is no hacking going on... whatever else it may be, I dunno.
