Who can beat necros in a duelFollow

My heroic were-hunter took out plenty of necros, self buffed and with Vital Strike attacks only. It usually takes 3-5 Vitals to win. I had 490 Int at the time and was doing 2k Vital Proc plus weapon (500-800) and my quads averaged 2-3k total damage.

K first of all you need more resists than just AR, AR is only swarming death's harm touch and blood, its main source of damage is a DR proc, and with my defilers nuke it is half dr and half melee. and the only tanks to ever beat my defiler so far have been heroic werehunters which i can come pretty close to beating. my non-resist epic blood helps alot in duels though.

My Channeler mops necs. I suppose with a nec with alot more cms then me could stand a chance, but I have my AR Maxed for huntin Xrags and I frequently need to show a nec what real damage is.

Ive seen heavily cmed sorcerers smoke LoP necs, Ive seen hwh sks pwn them when the nec has had a 100 to 200 cm advantage, DwH shaman ive seen almost every class put a hurting on necs since class balancing. The big difference is that necs pacts have a longer pact time so they cant just sit there and tap and pact themselves to stay alive.

I don't duel much, but what dueling I have, I have never lost a match, especialy to a Nec.

I suppose there could a be a well built dueling Nec out there, how useful that would be I dunno...

And now, after CBing... Nec aint king of the toon class anymore!

I use to have a well built nec. Not just dueling but for raids aswell. i owned most all toons but chugging alc's. After reading about the class balancing it sounds as though necs aren't much of a dueling class anymore. I still think they are one of the most useful toons in game though. here are my reasons.
1. They do a fair share of damage.
2. The ability to pact comes in handy.
3. If it is a power nec with epic done they are a damb good battery.

i know this was off topic but i had to say it. Im still a big Nec fan.

Im not saying duels are a way of proving how good your toon is. i just enjoyed them because it was something to do. when you hit 60 which i have on many toons, and when not raiding or farming you just feel like putting a hurt on someone.

10-15 Secs is a long time to wait to recast in a Duel IMO. Most high level duels are over quick unless there say healer or tank. DDs dont fight for very long. Yes there are exceptions and ive seen necs fight other necs for a bit. but in a fight with a rogue against a nec one or the other will die before you can cast most abilities twice. Rogues and Rangers are deadly against a crappy nec, or even a moderately built nec. Its all about how you build your toon. this has been said many of times. My toons are no diff. all i was saying is that duels aren't all that bad. i use them to brn time thats it. not to prove im the baddest toon on the game.
