perhaps its because im a bit of a pessimist, i used to play Earth and Beyond, which i still think was a pretty good game, but, it never achieved more than about 30 or 40k subscribers, so EA shut it down, a reason im not too happy with EA either :/
i sort of envy Instigator really, he has far more self control than i ever did :(
i know i have a tendency to just say whatever, and to hell with the consequences, but... .. when the mood is on me i just can't stop myself :(

Purhaps games that don't gain more then 40-50k subscribers is because look how many people bash the game even though they like/play it. All that does is make people shy away so therefore I think your anger with EA is unfounded. Much as alot of the comments from SWG players...if you want the game to revive, then stop telling potenial players that it sucks and don't play it. Seriously, what is that going to acheive anyway???

The sooner SWG gets shut down, the more people realize why it was shut down and perhaps Lucas Arts gives the rights to another company?

i know im pretty vocal about my dislike of the nge, and soe/smedley etc, but i doubt my views have anywhere near the effect on the game, as the magazine reviews have had, and they were pretty damning, PCGAMER, which in the UK at least, is perhaps 'the' games review magazine, gave it a thorough bashing, post NGE they placed the game at 27 percent, which was a long long way down from what it was pre-NGE, so while it is possible that i may have put a few people off of playing, i'd also have to add that at no time, did i say anything that was untrue, and while my opinion of the game may differ from some others, that doesnt mean their opinion isnt also correct, because it will be true for them. its just that my own views correspond with those of the magazine reviewers, and a majority of the people who subsequently left the game post NGE, if not all..

i would like to add, i didnt want to stop playing SWG, it was a game i loved, and i had 4 accounts, only 1 of which had a combat char, i was neither rich, nor 'uber' but, when i left, it was because i couldnt stay. anyway, you've probably heard me say a lot of these things before, and its pointless to go on and on, i know the game isnt coming back, i just hope, that the same doesnt happen to you, though if it did, perhaps then you'd understand how i feel.

and even though i play wow these days, i will add one big, for me, point.
the game just isnt as fulfilling for me as SWG was. and as soon as a replacement for SWG comes out, i will probably drop the account with WOW.

Hey, don't be hating on early 90's Lucas Arts! They was the shiizzz!

Okay, but yeah, Lucas Arts has had several of those periods in which they just start slapping Star Wars on anything they can.

Stop hi-jacking threads.

At this point, from myself alone, your karma is dropping at .33 a day or so. By next week, we won't see your posts!

(unless you stop being an idiot)

I now pronounce this thread back on track!
