Here is a question... I helped start a guild called Valhalla's Threshold... well in the whopping 9 months I have been playin I have never seen this name used. Well now I have someone on CLW claiming we stole their name. I didnt think this was possible.

Can someone fill me in on any etiquette surrounding this issue?

To me it sounds alot like getting mad because someone on another server thought of your name too.

well basicly theres nothing they can do except talk chit about you and your guild, which is childish because the damn world does not involve around said person, i think they dont think two or more people can have the same idea.

but just to try and ignore this guy, and if he says chit about your guild, just say stop being mad because you didnt get in or whatever

Simple. Just ask them how many people they have in there guild.
Probably 8 master's and the rest all elders if there are more than 8 ppl in the guild. To me guilds are a pain. Unless you can actually land in a good one. Which is hard to do. But starting a guild is hard and growing it is even harder. especially now-a-days. Everyone wants a PL or for the higher level toons in guild to basically do there quests for them.

Sometimes it is easier going solo for a bit and going at it on your own. But in the end if you get in a good guild stay till it dies. I was sad to See "Kindred of the Brujah" go to FF.
Been in a few good guilds since but Kindred was the best.

Yeah we try and bring in new people to the game when we can find them to help learn the aspects of the game and different roles toons play in a group but you only keep them for so long when the promise of the pl's versus learning the game wins out.

First, I go with Xen's point in telling them to *******

Second, if it was their guild's name, how the hell is it you have it! :)

Third, suggest a new name for their guild, like maybe, The Lil Whinnig B1tchs! Werks fer me!

Lastly, I've been in some of the oldest, and best guilds on DH, and I've seen them all die off sooner or later due to FFX, WoW, and other reasons!

Ok I am popping this back up for one final FU to anyone who has had the name "Valhalla" anywhere in their Guild Name. Just because someone uses that exact "word" (not exact name just that "word" is the recent accusation) does not mean they stole your Guild Name. Get over yourself and accept the fact that guild names are quite common and it is possible for someone else to come up with a similar idea.

For those of you following this train of thought fine you need to delete any toon with the words Doc, Pointy, Got, Mana, Nec, Nurse or Honor because we have those in our names and your not allowed to use them.

Sounds silly doesnt it being that picky over a name well thats how you people who are whining about a Guild Name are acting.

Grow up ,pretend your balls dropped and find something better to do than ruin groups because you couldnt keep your guild alive and keep the name yourself.

Thank you to those it applies to ....

and F-You to those it applies to....
