Well since you are concidering not taking a tag to save on CMs, and you are a gnome. Why not go with Tinker. There would be no stat or CM requirements and you could buy just the one MCA(the pet). I don't know having a pet at your side seems like it might be kinda fun. Just a thought.

crazydavis is right if you want to save all those precious cms go tinker, because a wizzy and that 50 pet can do some nasty dmg.
and there are no stat requirments but i think you still need at least 500cms spent, but its racial so its only 200cms to buy the tinker tag.

i have no tag either, but im going either sage for duels or sorcerer for the raids. because i rarely just do regular grinds anymore. or i may even go AwH because there good for both and i dont have a form.

wow 8k hp, thats alot for a wizzy i wish i have that much at 60, i only have 4325hp(in lion form) on fist hes 50 and 485cms, dex,495 int220(int is base) only get roundish 5k power.

I just switched from sage to channeler. With the 20 min recast on channel it is finally worth it. Also Manaplast does about 4500 damage with my 550 dex. Im lovin it I kill so quickly.

i wish my wizzy can go tinker. but hes human(qeynos), but my sage tag is doing the job good enough.

and has anyone else seen the increase in sages? when i asked them why they changed both necs and wizzys they said because since we are getting aggro so much that SS is saving our asses when tanks lose aggro.

yes, same thing with the rangers they all swithched from hunters to forresters because of the ss type ability. Now they are super tough duelers/pullers for big raid types.

1st off this is eliphaz,not cresto, hailing from clw proudly, and former high sorcery master The all wiz guild, which only in the latest months went inactive,only becaaus of my lack of time; currently im a member of AOE.My elf wiz is a sorc, strictly becaus i'm a hardcore dd and luv the aoes.I couldnt imagine not taking a tag, w/my 655 dex 55o int(soon to do wh qst :) i maintain a large pwr base w/steady high end dmg on 1 or more targets.Asfor tinker i could see the +'s of saving pre req cms, but the cost of losing a more functionable mca outways saving the cm's.I never especially cared 4 racial tag's on wiz's ; even scholar can be surpassed in pwr by a chann w/proper building imo.Now with sage and the balancing changes the tag stat maxs alone make it a viable choice, not to mention how mant slots it can open in inv w/those crazy bases and both mca's are xcellent for wiz's.In the end a tink is only useful in-itself if you want to solo w/a pet to tank,which isnt so bad i kno kiting is fun. In the end i think it comes down to playstyle, and my own biases are as follows:for soloing i'd prefer sage or merc (Rayslan;)for raiding i like sorc but chann can work well,grinding chann hands down ,unless theres adds or batts in which case im prejudiced to sorc;as for dueling sage will definitly take it,,unless yoou kite'm ;0 ..

If i kite you (not possible bein your on dh) you die; once SS falls my superiour dex and nukes = your demise. If i try to nuke thru SS i suicide.As eny1 w/xperince kiten knows, you allways go for cover when kiting a caster.Still i wouldnt offer up eny other wiz build as best duelr simply because toe to toe is the only recognized form of dueling in respect to props, nevermind the aspects of dueling other classes,in which cases the majority of the time a sage is more well rounded to meet whatever mite come his way.(eliphaz clw)

I still dont see this as a problem lol, if you kite me, when you nuke..i nuke.. when your standing behind a wall ima drink/eat LOL. But i think HP will be a deciding factor here as well...mine is 4325Hp. im still hoping to have 6k at 60 lol, i did some CM counting and i think i can pull it off.

but i do see what your saying, but this really only works well against other casters/ and anyone else..not another wizzy tho...unless said wizzy is really really stupid and just stays there and not even mush the button for your nuke lol..
