Newbie needs help figuring out the combat level system.Follow

Ok b4 I get yelled at for it being in another post guess what I couldn't find it if you have the link for it post it for me and i'll STFU.

I've been playing for 3 weeks now and am having trouble figuring out what affects my Combat Level and how to get past lvl 10.

Question 1: Do I need to master all of Brawler to get a medium Combat Level or can I just do unarmed combat slots then go straigh to the can't remember name but the martial arts for this game terasi sumtin or other lol, and still get a medium combat level.

Question 2: Will raising my ranged help with my combat levels at all?

My plan is to just become a fullout unarmed combatant and then later on when i get off my lazy butt I'll do the Jedi stuff.
BTW I don't like doing missions but don't mind spending hours smacking the same type mob over and over again to get xp.

Actually, you don't get a CL57 for mastering any elite profession. I am a master shipwright, have some medic skills, almost a master carbineer, and have a few other skill trees started and my CL is only 48. Not all elite professions will yield high CL. But, as long as you stick with mastering elite professions in areas that include kicking the you know what out of people, then you will get CL57 for the first elite profession mastered and CL80 for the 2nd elite profession mastered.
