I'm a rebel now, but want to go imp. I have -5000 imp faction. is there a quick way to get rid of this? or do i have to grind out some imp faction points at the terminals?
Either grind it out or get a smuggler to buy the FP at about 100k per 1000 exp if i remember correctly.
random thought. if i dropped my neutral pilot and picked up imp pilot, would that erase it?
it would change your space faction but not your ground faction. if you go to a factional space station and align your self you can get faction points.
I tried to drop my neutral pilot skills and switch to imp pilot. I had -4800 imp fp from my rebel days pre-jtl. I went to the imp pilot trainer on talus. :) she wouldn't train me,saying I was a rebel. oh well. guess i'll just see if i can't buy some fp. b/c doing missions at 90 fp per mission just isn't fun.
Smuggler is definatly the way to go. I was also -5000 IMP and 2/3 of the way up the rebel rankings but decided to switch because....well, for no real reason now that I think of it. Cost me 600K to lose all the negative and go to the max 1000 IMP allowed by citizen rank. Then was able to declare my new faction.

If you are cheap, like me, get yourself an inspiration buff and head to a rebel POI. Spawn rates are decent but be prepared to be there for a few hours. Saves you big money and may even make some from the credits or items looted.

Do not become a traitor to the rebellion...Once you break the an-tet then there is no going back. It is just the same as being banished for failing your apprenticeship (meaning cort whooped your ***, hehe) To join the impire is to bring about certain char...might as well throw yourself on the charyou tree for nothing. Do not let the impire howken you. Ka-tet's can only be broken by death or treachery, the rebellion symbolizes khef, the impire symbolizes char. Do not sill about the impire young ka-tel. The rebellion is your tet. I am speaking dan-dinh to you. Ka is a wheel, so you would do well not to forget the face of your father.
