pilot needs help pleaseFollow

k iv been playing for a week and i still cant dock with ememy ships. i have a mission it says inspect an ememy ship so i do np it says it has the evidence you need dock with it so i press U it refuses to dock. so i disable it still nothing please help what am i doing wrong? i have also hear you can manually target a ships componets can anyone tell me how

Perhaps you need to disable an enemy ship before you dock with it. In this case, you will need to target specific parts of a ship. The default command for this is the [ button. On fighters you can cycle through reactor and engine (i think). That way your weapons just hit the engine/reactor and instead of blowing up the enemy, it says that you have disabled them. Then try docking and such.
