Actually, they've allowed us old vetereans to "respec" opur characters - to strip off all of the old skills we'd learned and build up a new tree any way we'd like - every 12 hours for up to 3 weeks until we decide on how we want to keep ourselves.

Pretty handy really - my original avatar was a jack of all trades.

Biggest changes I've noticed, which apparently came with the new Combat Upgrade (CU) is that you have to be an elite in some area to wear armor, and that using weaponry now requires some combat level instead of the original certification.

I'm still trying to figure out the levelling myself - I've been at lvl 5 for a number of days now and have to reach lvl 10 and 14 to use some weapons that were handed down to me.
