I didnt leave, my computer was just broken for a while. Now that Im back I have a question that Ive been meaning to ask

For bards, what gem do you use for armor? Not trying to steal anybodys uniqueness here or whatever jsut need some help cause my bard has been doing very low damage at phants. I use lazulite (sta/agi) for all my armor and then amber and onyx (str and dex) for jewelery. If there are any advised gems for armor please let me know

Take into acount your options. Note, with bracers you have: 6 peices of armor (can't spell). And with out bracelets (which I strongly advise using if you don't already, that is unless your a tank, even then tanks could use bracelets some times) you have 5 pieces of jewlry. That is, 11 things that add to your stats. With bracelets you have 7 pieces of jewlry (ring ring, necklace, earing earing, bracelet bracelet) and 5 pieces of armor. Bah so in that case you have 12 things going to your stats.

Your idea seems ok, what I always did on spife (although his power pools are different then a bards) is I would (or was going to) max str and dex and put the rest to either: agi for power, or sta for hp. The reason why I didn't do this is because str ended up not maxing out >.<. So what I suggest, if your not doing this already, is use bracelets, because if all your jewlry is going to str/dex then thats 2 more items going to str and dex.

My other sugestion would be to even things out, and by that I mean, with bracelets (w00t broken reccord MC achieved!) you have 7 pieces of jewlry and 5 pieces of armor, I know your splitting your armor between agi and sta per piece, but I don't sugest that with jewlry (str/dex, I don't even know if you can). So What I would do, is use a piece of armor for either str or dex, so now you have 8 pieces going to those stats, so you can have 4 for each, or 5 and 3, what ever you feel like doing. Although you do need power (that your current armor plan does give you), you may be fine loosing a few pieces of armor for your damage.
Yeah I hope that helped. Sorry if it's a little un organized

On my bard, I have a lot of different kinds of armor. I like to keep my melee stats sort of even, with dexterity being higher than the others. I usually where Takish/Zoisite armor, Lazulite, Enstatite, and whatever gems add to Stamina, Agility, Dexterity, or Strength. For jewelry, I try to have stuff that adds to dexterity, stamina, and charisma (I forgot twhat they were, but one of them was called Opal).

I have too many characters to post them, and I ran out of colors for my profile. I bet you'll never beat my Cleric (Unless you got to a higher level than him).

On my bard until the mid 40's i used 3 dex armor 3 str armor, then on average used about 2 dex 2 str jewelry then 1 hp type jewelry. At about 45ish i basicly used a full set of heartsblood armor and dex str jewelry. With buffs i had my dex/str maxed

That is 8-9 lvl difference, melee hits start getting weak when you start to fight mobs about +5 to you.

You can try focusing on maxing str/dex first then your power pools to try and increase your damage as much as you can. But what are the levels of your group mates? If they are higher, they may just care about you being a battery and buffs first and damage second.

That's the whole point of OFF mods. Not sure how many you can get at that level, but I'm sure with enough of them, you'll do great damage.

If this was the case, I would rather get an Enchanter instead of a Bard. I haven't seen any groups on my cleric where the bard would just act as a buffer/battery, especially if they were a lower level compared to everyone else.

So what does an offensive mod do? Give me specifics, they are part of a calculation, but how do they overcome the difference in lvls. No one has provided evidence on how they really work except that they increase damage, so if they add to the damage formula like HP factors do, they have little to do with the difference in lvls. BTW how many of mods are available at 41? It is only 3, far from a lot of them.

So what was on the looking for group list at the time? Since you are all knowing that an enc was registered. Power is power, and a bard provides the same amount of power to higher lvls, as they do lower lvls. Also do you even Know how many flows an enc has at that lvl? It is only two and 3 possible path stack power spells. Enc have it much harder then bards for power recovery until 43.

Everything is built around formulas, the hard parts figuring out the formulas

There is one from were forms, one from quick reflexes, and humans get a third.

As a said we dont know the specifics, since it is a hard one to actually test because of variables. There is no proof that it makes you hit like you are one lvl higher. Figure out a testable formula then you can talk.
