Take into acount your options. Note, with bracers you have: 6 peices of armor (can't spell). And with out bracelets (which I strongly advise using if you don't already, that is unless your a tank, even then tanks could use bracelets some times) you have 5 pieces of jewlry. That is, 11 things that add to your stats. With bracelets you have 7 pieces of jewlry (ring ring, necklace, earing earing, bracelet bracelet) and 5 pieces of armor. Bah so in that case you have 12 things going to your stats.
Your idea seems ok, what I always did on spife (although his power pools are different then a bards) is I would (or was going to) max str and dex and put the rest to either: agi for power, or sta for hp. The reason why I didn't do this is because str ended up not maxing out >.<. So what I suggest, if your not doing this already, is use bracelets, because if all your jewlry is going to str/dex then thats 2 more items going to str and dex.
My other sugestion would be to even things out, and by that I mean, with bracelets (w00t broken reccord MC achieved!) you have 7 pieces of jewlry and 5 pieces of armor, I know your splitting your armor between agi and sta per piece, but I don't sugest that with jewlry (str/dex, I don't even know if you can). So What I would do, is use a piece of armor for either str or dex, so now you have 8 pieces going to those stats, so you can have 4 for each, or 5 and 3, what ever you feel like doing. Although you do need power (that your current armor plan does give you), you may be fine loosing a few pieces of armor for your damage.
Yeah I hope that helped. Sorry if it's a little un organized
