New recruit - how's community/fun?Follow

I am an EQ player who has previously played SWG for about 2 days. Looking to take it up again with a friend. We play UK time. I enjoy medic and artisan work and want to be a neutral Engineer (Armoursmith/Architect)/Combat Medic. Could be convinced by a faction.

1- Towns & villages - do more people live in them than cities? Or are most people roaming solo?
2- Are there guilds that roleplay, and in what way?
3- Are there towns/villages out there that want to recruit me?
4- Do people co-operate a lot and help new players?
5- I would like to hear from anyone who plays as a Master Medic/Artisan and enjoys it.
6- What can a Novice Artisan make that sells well?
