nice update...yeah rightFollow

im just gonna throw this out there as it does hold some relevance to those who are whining about it being difficult now.

Class mastery's, were forms, the fay staff weapon, and other things were all added into this game to make it MUCH easier for you to kill that mob who never had an upgrade. Stop your whining cuz it's not really gonna me it more difficult. Just different or more on pace with how it would have orriginally been. Seriously, are there cms and were forms in the original version of EQOA. I think not.

As for traditional grouping, i completely agree that it needs to come back. Im sick and tired of seeing toons reach 60 with complete ease and a high lack of effort. No sense of real accomplishment comes from those of us who have RL issues that actually take the time to get up a their 60.

Quit your complaining and deal with it like the rest of us have and do something productive.

Due to the increased costs of running the EverQuest Online Adventures game service, we will be increasing our subscription rates. Effective July 25, 2005, the new monthly subscription rate will be $12.99/month. While this announcement may be unpleasant, the cost of operating a top tier MMO has increased significantly over the past few years and this change will help us achieve our goal of providing our players with an enjoyable experience in the world of EverQuest Online Adventures. We will continue to offer discounts from the new rate plan on multi-month subscriptions. The new price for a 3-month subscription will be $34.99, a 6-month subscription will now be $59.99 and a 12-month subscription will now be $89.99. You don't have to do a thing; your account will automatically be migrated to the new billing structure under your current subscription plan when your current subscription plan expires.

The update to mobs makes a lot of sense to me, harder mobs is a funner game. Challange is fun, having a group with the highest being 51/52 should not be able to kill mobs over 60 with no risk.


Things do not have to improve to justify price increases. Costs increase all the time, just look at gas, it has not improved at all, but jumps up in price every week. Without being able to look at an expense report I cant tell if it was justified or not. But only increasing once in 2.5 years is not bad with how much some other things have gone up in price.

The update was fair when you think about it, its giving all classes a role in everyday grinding. it gives tanks and healers a more tradinol roll and does add a little more balance to this game.


Doesnt mean im happy about it tho.

And the gobs being kos kinda pissed me off. i loged there and when i loged back on i was standing next to a yellow kos assasin.

They made them red faced, that was a shame, I would of prefered them becoming chained instead of red faced.

You couldnt body pull them then and there all standing near another so if u taunted/atcked 1 it would pull the others sourounding it. Both KoS and Chained would work becuase you cna body pull if there kos.

I liked the white faced since it made pet groups less efficient there, and chaining mobs would add to the challange, and prevent the battle being trivialized.

Everyone is complaining about some of the 60+ camps being too hard. Sheeesh.. the nerve. Challenging is good. Easy sucks.

Yes level 50 people, petters none the less, are screaming that they cant tank 5 60+ mobs anymore. I say, If a tank cant tank it, niether should petters. A group of 4 petters shouldnt be able to get a resist buff and tank 5-10 xrags in the first place. Lazy asses. Now they just may have to work a bit. For shame.

wow I just went to this camp the other night, it was fast, even though I could sense it slower then usual (I was 53) but the camp is nice, I think making them red faced did nothing except not allow us to afk all night next to them. From what I saw they're either next to blind or don't argo to pets. Still pretty nice fast camp, and flexable too, considering the last group I was in there was me, a 60 druid, 60 rogue and a 60 nec. That 60 rogue only weapon is kind of "wacky" (hehe), lore, 635 damage, 150 hp o_O I find it wierd. Ha still the camp is good, I didn't go there before they buffed it up but I think its fine now and I'm not even doing a lvl 60's worth of damage.
What was the deal with it? From what I hear, 50's could have tanked them, and by 50's I mean the big five-zero, that's what "50's" make me think of. Is that true? Or is it just anyone 50+ could necesarilly xp there?

I assume you ment the goblins by CLW, it was an easy camp to begin with, a low 50 group had absolutly no trouble even on the casters. They were also white faced so no chance of adds. That is why I would of prefered they remained white faced, but they came 2-3 a time with increased damage. It was too easy, most groups didnt need a tank, but with multiple mobs attacking the whole group could have value.

yeah I did mean that camp, theres nothing wrong with no tank, I like dd groups. They're cool fun fast and very different. Well let me rephrais that, I've been in a few really good non traditional groups. Both were at phants, one was at the kappas in the phants place (I dinged 50 in that group). The group at kappas was 4 49-50's, sk nec ranger rogue, and the other one was like, ranger rogue druid wizzie I think. Point being, they were good groups heh. Just saying you don't always need a tank or a healer.
I must say even now with them being KoS, they don't argo much, you've got to be within swords length for them to attack you. But man, I got critted and quaded once or twice there, one time left me with 83 hp. Stupid paper spife. anyhoo
I hope they keep that camp there, it's fast even though I slowed the group down and will probably not get in another group there for a while
