I rate pistoleer over carbineer in conjunction with mbh. Stopping shot is great for rooting them, your defences are higher, and your attacks speed up. The only thing is that it might take a while to kill the jedi, but staying defensive with blinds, disarm shots, roots and knockdowns, you can keep them away from you while they run down on force points. Once they can't heal themselves, and they try to run, root them knock them down and finish them.
The only advantage that carbineer has over pistoleer is the higher damage, which isn't all that much really.
I personally prefer rifleman for the big damages. I have pistoleer to fall back on if the initial sniping shot fails, and when I have them at 50m+ range with the ability to knockdown, root, and the rest the jedi find themselves in big trouble. Get some doc in if you can to heal yourself and you'll outlast the jedi easily. (I only go up to investigation three in the bh tree, so I have some extra skill boxes to float about.)
