Im goin to turn my Death Knight into a resist tank. Once i get my MCa (pet) and a few more CMs i will become a full out resists. I will lower my HP (not by much) by relocating CMs. I will change get rid of the Heartys and Leadership. That is 105 CMs. My HP will slightly go down. With those 105 CMs i will get God Touched and other resists. By the time im done with this toon i want this:

Pet: (+65 AR, PR, DR) (75 CMs)
------------------------
God Touched: (+25 to all) (75 CMs)
Ro's Blessing 1: (+5 FR...i got LE gear) (5 CMs)
Eci's Blessing 3: (+30 CR) (30 CMs)
Karana's Blessing 3: (+30 LR) (30 CMs)

total: 140 CMs

my resist will look like:

FR: 80 base (105) (easily Maxed... i wear a belt with +25)
LR: 105 base
CR: 105 base
AR: 135 base (+100 somthin from normal gear)
PR: 135 base
DR: 135 base

with a cleric buff i will have +100 to each of them.

how does that look for now?

I don't know how good wisdom is for a shadowknight/deathknight
but if you want(If you plan on mt'ing)raise it(I know I would) so that could be acouple more resists.

Wisdom is pointless for an sk wisdom has too low of a modifer to resists to even put anything into it
#5 Jun 25 2005 at 2:38 PM Rating: Decent
Its only 1 resist for every 7 points of wisdom so its not realy worth it.
#6 Jun 25 2005 at 3:53 PM Rating: Decent
Sounds good. I would personally buy all the resist cms, then you can wear better armor and jewelry to make your SK unkillable... If that's a word... which I bet it's not.
#7 Jun 25 2005 at 4:00 PM Rating: Decent
yeah but I know that wisdom is almost a must for a warrior going defender(not only the resistance mods from it but the buff is 100%wisdom and the PoD spell is 200%wisdom)

oh i found out Wisdom is a modifier for the Resist spell. Guildy has 610 wis so i will have maxed resists without jewelry or special armor.

You are talking about the Warrior resist spell right? I wouldn't bother with the Blessing CMs, use the CMs for things you can not normally have that can be boosted by your gear. Resists can raised with jewelry and armor, just leave it like that and put CMs to a better use.

Nashua, with 610 wisdom (Elf resist Cleric.) the resist buff still only gives +136 to all resists.

So, you will still have to change up your gear to max some resists.

Get the lycan resistances too Nash

Nash, gimme a sec to re-reconfigure how MY warrior will be at 60 with the proper CMs. I had it on this PC, it encountered a gay error and I had lost it. I did it on my cuzins PC few days ago, but I can easily do it again. I's also post the wisdom chart I have 2 make to configure it. It shouldn't be to long. Then you can compare. I'll post it ASAP.

if anybody wants to make this faster, could they post me a list of the multiples of 7, from 7-700 plz (and please make sure it's correct)

EDIT: Bah NM I've got it under control. I'm like halfway done. Or well I'm starting on the list.

AR, PR, DR, LR are the resists you should focus the most on. FR CR should least of your worries. They arent used much. From my experience, these were the resists I encountered the most. AR PR DR LR will do you good throughout PoD and IoD. Lavastorm is mainly FR and some AR. PoS has it all. AR, LR, CR, FR mainly.

CM cost/name/#/effect/total CM's

(Taken out)

CM's Total: 1040
1000 hp from CM's
45 sta from CM's
35 agi from CM's
50 resis from CM's
With Immortal Guard (PoD drop required) a 2100 AC buff I think (550 wis)
Resistence:
167 Base with 550 WIS
302 With 600 WIS WoB

~~~~~~~~~~~~~OR~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CM cost/name/#/effect/total CM's
(Taken out)
CM's Total: 1130
1000 hp from CM's
45 sta from CM's
35 agi from CM's
50 resis from CM's
With Immortal Guard (PoD drop required) a 2100 AC buff I think (550 wis)
Resistence:
182 Base with 550 WIS (well 192 AR)
317 With 600 WIS WoB (well 327 AR, if it was possible)
But keep in mind, the 60 CL epic spell it yet to be released. With that I'm sure I'll be able to cut some CM's, or just switch some out and some in.
1 resist to all per 7 wisdom.
Ill be able to max FR, AR, PR, DR, and LR easily now cuz i found a way. CR is my trouble spot. Ill continue to grind and add to that as i go along.
Make sure you realize that you'd have either 39 or 40 base resis if you have 0 wis.
i was thinkign of duel boxing and making a resist Cleric. I would PL him to like 20-25 then grind 5 levels with him to 30 and just use rings to level him.
this toon would STRICTLY BE USED FOR BUFFS!!!! i would not grind with him. thats the only reason i would PL him.
this would give me +75-130 to all resists... on top of my base +48. that wouldnt be to bad and a hella lot easier to max resists.
this way i can kinda keep my offensive stance with the resist part taken care of. The cm's i would spend on godtouched and lycan resistances could be used for half recast touches or str, sta, cm's so that i dont have to put as many TP's into those areas, and can drop those tp's into INT...
i just dont wanna grind another character to 50+ lol... takes to dam long... i need about another 28-48 cm's on Cleet before hes finished though
