Hello all,

Starting to get quite fustrated. I am a Rebel pilot trying to get my last tier 3 box trained. Well, been stuck on this mission sonce before the CU. Thats right, its been that long. I maxed out my exp a long time ago and I am about to bang my head against the wall because I cant get trained until I nail this mission.

Anyways, I dont know the name of the mission, but it starts on Yavin 4 and sends me to Dathomir and then Endor. It starts with me killing some ace imp pilot named Kroger(?), that part is cake. Then off to patrol near Endor resulting in 5 imps. Cake. Here is where it starts to suck and I just cant seem to figure it out. The next part of the mission wants me to join a fight with a group of rebels vs a large group of imps. The problem is, I cant get anywher near them. The place is swarming with level 3-5 red dots and I have yet to actualy make it to the fight thats part of the mission. I get either killed, or massivly damaged long before I make contact with my mission targets. 100% of the time, no matter how I try to avoid them.

Now, I wasnt born yesterday, and I am not a complete n00b, but I MUST be missing something terribly simple here. I try to get past this mission 4-8 times per week, over and over and it always ends the same. I havent earned one single piloting exp in many weeks. No joke, I could have filled my tree to ace pilot 2-3 times by now with all the hunting I do.

What am I missing?

Using an X-Wing with level 4-7 parts, no missile launcher or droid though.

First off, get a driod. It helps. Second off, get a group. It also helps, and as long as you get at least 1 hit in on each attacker, you still get XP and prestige. Just go to a space port, you will probably find people that will help you out. If you are on Sunrunner, give me a shout, I will help you out.

ok first off the last post was right,

droid chips help lots, get a freelancer to programme you lvl 3or4 capacitor overload, and capacitor to sheild dump these are the 2 i use.

You will not beleive how much these help if your feeling really creative you can get an imp pilot to make you weapons and engine overloads 3 (avoid 4's they work for some but are bugged to hell for others)

And Grouping is a must if your struggling but i think with the practice you have had you should be able to handle them on your own if you must with the help of the droid chips.

My advice is clear the area, when you finish the part b4 you have to assist the b-wings (i am on the right mission aren't i?) you will be given the wp for the b-wing squad, make sure that you have finished off any imps that are straggling from thr previous part of the mission, otherwise they follow you and shoot you down as you go to the next wp.

If you get to the B-wings and it happens to be in the middle of a spawn site take out the mission targets first even if you just disable them (you can tell the mission targets by the nice lil yellow/orange box within the red target box and they are highlighted on your radar) i know this can be a bit awkward, but at least then you can concentrate on staying a live and taking out other targets attacking you, while takeing odd shots to destroy the disabled mission targets and if your lucky maybe the b-wings will take a few out before the ties scuttle themselves.

Another thing i would check is the condition of your equipment, if you have been destroyed a lot your compnents will have taken a battering and will prob be low on condition, this can seriously impeed you, especially with reguards to your armour and how much dammage you can take if they knock your sheilds down. so if you not done so already it may be worth replacings things.

and remember if you get all the mission targets disabled you always have your emergencey sheilds to keep you alive longer till the ties scuttle themselves, you just cant shoot while everything its transfered to your sheilds but it can save your life.

And what server you playing on? if its eclipse i may be able to give you a hand that is if you not finished the mission yet.
