Payment for SWG?Follow

#1 Jun 18 2005 at 5:51 AM Rating: Decent
Sorry if this is a really stupid question, but i have read many different views on what SWG is really like. Ive heard about its ups and downs and i think i might give it a try. My question is....
Can i pay for SWG by Debit card, or can it only be done by Credit card. I have a Visa electron card. Will i be able to pay for the game with it??
Thanks

ok thanks for the relpy. Im not aure if it will alow visa electron. Someone was kind enough to check for me and at the payment screen it says it take credit card of Visa. If i was able to use a debit card, would it say 'debit card', or would i just type the debit card number in under credit card? im really confused. It would be so much easier if they just accepted it!

You can only pay with a major credit card or a pre paid game card. I don't know why they don't take alternate forms of payment, like PayPal but they don't.

Blahmidget, you have 18 posts and I think every single one is about payment options for SWG. I just read all the new posts from the last time I logged on and you are in 5 or 6 of them, asking the same question, even if the thread isn't about paying for SWG.
You continue asking even after your question has been answered, and I know you have seen the answer cause you replied to it.

I understand your excitement and frustration but please stop posting about this. You have your answer, even if you don't like it.

Don't make mulitple threads about the same subject and don't hijack other threads to post off topic questions. Please read the forum rules stickied at the top of the forum.

Another posting by the forum police.

Thank god the police showed up.

Maybe you can only pay by credit dard because they only want people with credit cards playing......

My pet fish can get a credit card, you should be able, unless you are twelve. Uh oh..just hit the nail on the head.

LOOK for all you twelve years olds, that mommy and daddy gave you a debit card with out explaining how they work. DEBIT CARDS WORK JUST LIKE CERDIT CARDS, but in stead of sending a bill every month they take the money from your checking/savings account.

Maybe you should stop playing video games and go out into the real world and GET A JOB!!!!!

I believe it's 'Debit'. Stop trying to tell people what to do if you can't spell.

Debit card is just like Credit card so I see no problem you having to ask before you play!

Rygaul, it's not cerdit but credit FYI

Maybe you should get out to working place and learn how to spell and conduct your self:)

Thanks

My debit card will not work like a credit card. I can only use it at a bank machine or at stores with interac. If a credit card is required online then I need a credit card, my debit card will not work.

By the way I'm from Canada so maybe it is just in your country or with your bank. But not everybody can do it.

Zephoyd, I off course have no idea at all about your country however I believe that basically all banks work on same principle and if that is the case then you should be able to receive debit card that is worth your assets which in turn can act as a credit card.

However I stand to be corrected because I don’t know everything ( I can ask my wife thought and let you know-:))

Nice country you live in, was there once for vacation about 6 years ago and enjoin it a lot! Hey I could even talk French there and did not need to use my poor English:P

Canadian banks have yet to join the 21st century. There are many features that you can get in America for example that are not available in Canada.

Someone on this forum a week or so ago, was talking about a credit type card that was pre paid. So if you had bad credit or were under 18 or if you didn't want an actual credit card for some reason, you could still get this and use it as a credit card, up to the amount you put on the card.

Well I went to 3 banks and no one had ever heard of it. Most of them had never even heard of PayPal. I wanted to pay my student loans online and had to switch banks because the one I was with didn't offer that service. And I knew more about online banking than everybody I talked to.

So yeah, Canadian banks suck.

they are called check cards in america. the way they work is that your bank gives you one when you open a checking acount. the card is backed by visa or another credit card company. with this backing you can then use your money that is in you checkin account just like it was a credit card. but it isnt actually a credit card. really helpful when wanting to pay for things on the internet. also i think its better than a credit card cause if you dont have the money in your account then you cant go over unless your bank lets you.

I wish I could get one of those. I have bad credit cause I forgot to start paying my student loans. They didn't ask me to start making payments either they just sent them to collections.

I hate the canadian financial system!!!

Sorry no more ranting lol

That is about how my works papakap! I guess you call it check card even thought it say Visa on mine.

I like it much because you sure don’t want to overdraft(sp?) or you pay penalty and interest.

Why I like it is because my job requires me to travel and it is much easier to get one printout a month in place of keeping lot of receives to submit at work.
#23 Jul 02 2005 at 11:28 AM Rating: Decent
Zaphoyd can’t you put some cash over the border in bank in US and use them? May be stupid question because maybe they require to be citizen but may be worth to checking into.

With internet today you don’t even need to travel to do it, just a thought. I have some friends that are using UK banks for better service then French can provide.

I don't know. I think you have to have an address in the states to get a bank account there.
I'll have to check it out though, thanks for the suggestion.
