Greetings all,
I played SWG for a few months last year and had to stop. Now I am really pumped to get back into it. I'm thinking about buying total Experince soo I can get Jump to Lightspeed and Rage of the Wookies at once. I've been doing my research and apperently meany people who love the game are not playing it any more due to a the new Comabt Update. I'm wondering, has SWG really gotten that bad? People that once had soo much adn worked soo hard for it just gave up due to some updates that caused the game to be less fun? I've been looking at this site for while know, and I trust what I see on this stie, soo I have to ask, is SWG Total Experince worth the money?

Well i gotta say im looking to join the game in 2 days when i do return to the united states. I have done my research and i find the combat update quite refreshing. I have as well played and quit after JTL for the reasons of boredom. I was a TKM/Mswordsman and yes i was overpowered absolutely. With my med skills i could basically solo a krayt... and at a certain point i found the game pointless.
The combat update is/was needed. the people who left cant/wont adapt to change, even if the game is more envolving. With my scythe i could almost kill anything in 4 hits tell me thats fun...I could spam a damage dealing attack eg unarmed hit 3 or unarmed spin 2 and just leave get a drink come back and have killed everything. AMAZINGLY FUN.
The combat update is a great thing creating more of a community rather than thousands of soloers.

Yeah come back m8, the games much more involved. Combat is so much better, youll find you cant do much without a group, dont even think about going after a Krayt without a small army :)

All my guild except 3 of us pouted and left the game after CU. Now they're back and begging to get back with us. Seems they couldn't handle change and weren't able to "think outside the box". But now that they're back, I don't hear anymore of the "well, before CU I could..." comments.
Yeah, there are some things that are not fair and right, but pub 18 is going live today and it's SUPPOSED to fix a lot of that. And be ready to see the galaxy over-run with Jedi and BH. Many used the respec time to cheat their way into new proffs that they know nothing about (Can't tell you how many MBH I run into that ask me, "How do I use the BH droids?").
If you can handle change and a challenge, you'll like, if not love, it. If you expect to see the same old game, then save your money and the heartache.

I would like to say I was gone for about a year. I think the game has got alot better then before. I think its more real, like you cant solo krayts(which shouldnt have been done in the first plzce). Its more of a community game now, the only problem I have is finding items on the bazzar. I cant find a y-wing (Not longprobe). Ive been playin for a few weeks now and I would say its jus alot people gettin mad they cant do what they wanted to before.

Alot of ppl are mad because of the new clvl system where you had to be a high enough lvl to use certain gear. Alot of ppl are pouting because they can't use their composite and all their other good gear when they havent even mastered a single combat proff yet.

Ah! Thank you soo much guys! I'm definetly going out to buy Total Experince this weekend. I'm glad to hear the CU makes it more cumminity involved beacuse I hate not having anyone to party with in MMO's.
