Sadly, I went today with some guildies to get my sk's treant branches and a cleric's goblin beads. There weren't any camps open, and where there should have been there were instead grps taking 4 mobs instead of the two they needed. Also, of the gros there, half, yes HALF of the people were necs, and quite a few mages as well, and were on occasion shouting that if there were any other petters who wanted xp they were welcome to join grp and go afk. Of all the people out there, ONE was kind enough to offer to let my friend loot a bead that dropped, and apparently the timed wait before she was able to loot was too long for the xp hungry members of her group because one of them who didn't need it looted.
So, we headed over to treants where we were met, after we had logged out for a while and then met back up again, with a group of people holding up a mob that apparently triggers the respawn for that particular camp and farming an insta spawn. With no obvious way to get any branches, back to goblins we went, where after xping for 10 minutes we were then told by someone we were in their camp and they had just noticed, and then we noticed as well. He was only lvl 57 =( To quote him, "So what if it's a quest camp? xp is xp" And then he continued to kill with complete disregard for anyone there who might actually NEED to kill the mobs.
Apparently the devs here seem to think that everyone who plays this game is going to act the perfect neighbor, that they can add another perfectly arranged, artificial, lined up mobs waiting to be killed camp, add no aggro and make the mobs weak as all hell, and NOONE is going to go there except the people getting items, just like noone would misuse anything else in the game. There's a simple fix to this, up the drop rate of the items, make the mobs tougher and aggro, and reduce the respawn time. If you want to add xp camps, how about adding some of the old school ones, where mobs weren't arranged to be neatly pulled one at a time. Make it interesting again, please.
