Well, i plan on getting SWG and the expanisons today or tomorrow. So when i create a new characters is there any tips you guys can help with?

well that would be great advice matt except that there is still quite a few stores that have the game from before the CU and its pretty much not going to be relevent.
best advice I can give at this point is find someone ingame that would be able to walk you through some of the basics,theres alot of good people out there that will try and help you. just dont beg for $$ or gear at the starports..

When you start do the new player tutorial and quests. They will teach you how to play the game. Don't worry about what the best or most uber template is, just play one that you like and have fun with.

Also remember if you don't like the character you first make then before you get to far, delete and start again. Or just create another toon on a different server. Only don't expect to use the same name cause even if you delete the name is still in the database as used.
