Return to SWGFollow

Because of the new movie I have decided to most likely come back to SWG. When I left they where just switching the Jedi system over to quests. It now seems there are levels, class-armor restrictions and such; so I am completely lost, but besides that. I have no want to become a Jedi, but I do want to be as good as one.

So with that in mind:
-Is it possible to be non-jedi or force sensitive non-jedo and kill a jedi of your level? Such as a maxed non force versus a master Jedi?
-And if anyone could give me an update or a link to some reading I could do to update me. It sounds as though the game is nothing like I left it...

sorry to be a pain an all but do you really think it is fair that you can grind a prof in what a few weeks maybe a month that can easily take down a proff that took in the region of nine months to grind????????????????????????????????

thats why this game is going down the pan in my opinon.

Im not a jedi, nor do i really want to be one, yes im slowly working my way through the FS stuff, but very very slowly. but im far from any hurry to complete it. and to be honest if i could take down a fully templated jedi now, why the hell would anyone want to be a jedi, to be jedi you have to put in a hell of a lot of work, do you not think there should be some sort of bonus to that effort over your few weeks to master your proff?

But it really does stick in my throat all these players that want the easy ride. Oh i dont want to be jedi, i just want to be hard enough to kill them etc.

Yes a very skilled player may be able to take down a jedi with the right template, and in my opinion thats the way it should be, i just wish people would accept that for the work they have to put in to get there they deserve to be a bit harder than the rest of us lazier non jedis.

great point EmJayR!!
seems strange that SOE would have gone this route with the Jedi, they will most likely figure it out sooner or later and adjust things

If a clone trooper can take out a jedi, I see no logical reason why a bounty hunter can't.

yeah if you take them by supprise and shoot them in the back, seems to me the 2 jedis that either had warning or sensed that something was about to happen killed them self a few clones and got away, in fact not staisfied with just getting away with their lives even walked right in to the jedi hall and the in to the emp's office,

So the clone warrors cant of been that great lol.

Please think arguments through lol. (humour, sarcasum not a dig :P)

if you read i said yeah some one really good with their prof could stand a chance and that is the way it should be.

But i personally dont think its right that there is ppl out there going oh oh mommmy mommmmmmmmy!!!!! the jedi's are to hard.
SOE pls make them soft.

At the end of the day 5+ BH's can pick up a jedi mission, so a jedi who is fully templated and very skilled with his prof (notice i use the word skilled not to describe their template, but they ability as players) should stand a chance at surviving their attack, that is only fair, now admittdly if the jedi is that skilled 1 bh don't really stand a chance, well unless he is also very skilled and hellishly lucky, but this is the way SOE have set it up. 1 respec'd BH is never gonna be able to take down a fully temped jedi, thats why you have the avilablity to select which jedi you hunt. and the fact you can group with a few of your BH chums(or all get the same mission not 100% how it works)and try and take on the bigger jedi (and we all know you Bh's pick the middle priced ones so you dont have to risk running in to a paddy who still has all his normal combat proffs and might be good at pvp lol or a full temp'd jedi cause you might lose :P)

If you want the system to be fair make it fully one on one, make BH a grind like jedi, they you can go one on one with no help from your group just like the jedi has to, then i will back you up all the way if the jedi's are 2 hard and the BH's are weak, but the majority out there dont want that they just after the quick route to uberness and that i dont feel is just or fair, especially since you are all PRO CU'r who said that we were to ubber b4 lol

As a member of BHG on gorath (Bounty Hunters Guild) Id like to say that one of our leaders -Aquaria- went to fan fest. She said the Devs knew her. hehe

Guess MBH are working out just fine. hehe

Should be that a MBH could solo ANY jedi template atleast 50% of the time, since all jedi are evil [other then ours :)]

Worry not guys

NO fully templated jedi should be taken out by a single Bounty hunter and certainly not these respec BH guys.

The ONLY things BH have going for them are :-

Surprise.. in a crowded area the jedi will find it hard to see you never mind target you and fight back. They get to fire from 65m away and stop you in your tracks, not many jedi can take this pounding but if only they remember to run the other way the Bh can be far behind while they run to safety.

Preparation.. Food and good stims can add all sorts of bonuses to avoidance and health regen than a grinding jedi is always going to have on or in them.

Grouping.. get a couple of other Bh mates to take the same jedi mission, if the jedi chooses not to run they are dead usually.

and know your target, they cant fight back till you shoot first. This usually gives the hunter time to watch (from afar possibly)and see just what the jedi has been doing and what force power they are likely to have left.

I know exactly how to pretend im fighting hard and spending force like nobodies business while actually doing not a lot waiting for the guy on the edge of the radars next move. I've been killed by a single BH once the whole time and that was because i was already incap and he just walked up and deathblowed me.

But have no fear, even with lightsaber speed being completely broken there is not a more versatile or deadly template than the fully templated jedi.

now thats how BH's should operate lol

Its all about tactics lol isn't that what you all like so much about the CU you have to be carefull when selecting your target! you have to use the right tactics! etc etc lol not so uber, you slip up you pay with your life lol

Oh i love using the CU argments right back lol
