I know how to color a text but now I need a little more advance help on how to make make many rows, if I can center the text and so on.
I've heard that you can write the text in notepad then copy it over and I've tried this but failed. Is it the "Chat Edit Copy"? coz all it does is copy the text to the chat, not to the "Name the object" bar.

i believe it was ladydarkflame that suggested using the "new email" function to make multi level signs. it worked for me with the following glitches....

type the first line in, then hit enter. when i attempted to type in the "\" text, the first push of the button yielded nothing, so i would have to push it again. the way this would translate is that once i copied it over to the sign name box, i would have the first line of text (press arrow key to end of line) followed not by "\......" but "\\......" so i had to delete one of the \ marks. other than that, i rebound my chat copy and chat paste to ctrl+shift+c and ctrl+shift+p.

I go to my Desktop, while in SWG game, I Create a Notepad "text document & wordpad work as well", to make my House Sign, i type my sign in the Notepad:
EXAMPLE
\#ff0000\Instigator's Store
\#0000ff\Come In & Check Out My Wears...
\#00ffff\LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE!!!
\#ffff00\ <IEBO>

After i made my sign, in notepad, i copy it, then i go back into the game, & i paste the text into my House Name.

I'm done at this point.

I just thought I'd add to this thread, for those out there who are wondering about various colors and how to know what code is what color...

Here is a link to a great web page that has TONS of colors and the coresponding hex code:

http://webmonkey.wired.com/webmonkey/reference/color_codes/

And as far as having multiple lines, the best way I have found is to open the in-game notepad (type /notepad) and type out what you want, exactly the way you want it. You don't have to do anything specific for hte line breaks, just type it in as if you were useing Word or anything else outside of the game. Then use the in-game copy/paste features (if you haven't assigned keys to them yet, you'll need to do that) to copy it from the notepad to the name box.

Hope that helps a little!
