why is that each time i Disbanmd my basic camp it is effectively used up (ie no longer in my inventory) and i have to craft a new one?

disbanding ur camp is just like it being destroyed, its for not having to wait longer for it to be destroyed, there is no way to get ur camps back after you use them
Usually when you disbanded your camp (before the last major patch came out) it went back to your inventory (at least for me it did.)
