Ok yesterday I decided to expand my horizons a little and move away from melee to caster. I made a gnome necromancer because I like gnomes and, well, I like necromancers. So if any of you experienced necros could give me any advice on how to build my new toon, that would greatly appreciated.

I wouldnt normally respond to my own post but this is sort of a BUMP because I know there are some experienced necros out there that can guide me in building mine. Come on necros, I have training points and I need to know where they go =).

Int isnt the single most important stat. Int is good, but you need to put a little into sta then more into dex and int. Nec's get awesome pets to..i envy my cuz and his kick *** pets

true, especially at lower lvls, but youll really start needing Int when u reach lvl 29!

My Gnome Nec is 38 now and rocks. For stats I would go Int, Sta and then if you plan on going Lich - Wisdom. Also if you want to solo a lot some Agi won't hurt. As for dex is does help you with damage but not enough in my opinion to really justify putting many points there. For every ten points you get 3 points of damage. I would rather up my Wisdom to help with resists to reduce damage from pact spells.
