k.. I've been playing about 2 weeks.. and I just don't get a lot of it.

I used alahkazzam on Everquest and it was really helpful.... for SWG it doesn't even list the items. It was easy to tell what weapons were better, or what level you could use them, it's all clearly labelled in EQ.

Here, I levelled through 2 levels of pistol professions, go out to buy a good pistol, and out of 6 can't get full use out of any of them

Where can I find out what I can use.. and of the ones I can use, what's the best?

I'm trying to mastering Marksmen and Brawler, and am trying to find how to buy the best weapons possible for each step of the way.. credits aren't a problem.. just finding out which is the best at each level is tough.

Also, anyone know where a rebel themepark is and how advanced need I be to do one?

To find out what weapons you can currently use you just need to hit Ctrl-S and click on the skill box that is the highest one you have trained in.

Down in the bottom right corner is the list of what new abilities you have and also what new weapons you are now certified to use. As for finding which one is the best, well this comes down to which Weaponsmith has made the best weapon that you can now use. That can be the main problem these days as a lot of folks are just grinding out holos and not bothering to make good weapons.

There are a lot of junk weapons on bazaar so you need to scout around for a shop of a dedicated weaponsmith and let them know you are a dedicated customer for life :) They should also have a good idea of which weapon is best for you, can't hurt to ask them if you are planning on purchasing their goods.

The reason you can't find a list of weapons with stats of what dmg and delay etc they have is because they are all player made and will all vary depending on certain factors. Experimentation and resources used etc..

Find a good guild to get into, most of them will probably be veteren players and will be able to point u in the right direction.

From my exp unless you play a female toon getting into a good guild of vets is like trying to successfully navigate an asteroid field. Most verteran players have simply corraled themselves away from anyone who started later than release, and I can't say I really blame em with all the idiot n00bs begging for free stuff and giving newbs a bad name. maybe I've just had rotten luck but most vets won't even consider the possibilty that a post-release noob has maybe learned how to fight on my server.

Yea sure they'll come and dump a bunch of good material stuff on you but as far as letting you hunt with them and learn from them, forget it dude. We're on are own. At first this pissed me off but now I can't group. I'm just too used to doing my own thing without having to explain to someone what I'm about to do. Its not even worth it to me having company. I just have worry about pleasing someone else or worry about their schedule or wondering if they're enjoying themselves. ***** all that.

When you purchase an item on the item description it says certified: yes or no I beleive.

In regards to veteran players not grouping or taking noobs on hunt u must not be looking to well. Ive been playing since the release in July, and Im currently 4442 in doc, and 2142 in TKA.. I usually try to lead noobie groups about twice a week or so. Im on the Eclipse server so if you need some good xp just send me a tell as I usually take the noobs shanarff hunting on Corellia as they give pretty good xp and are not all that aggressive. I usually just sit back and keep the noobs alive.

In my experience I have had better luck hunting with noob players than some of the vets, as the vets are more inclined to just act like a bunch of loose cannons. While the noobs are more inclined to listen to your suggestions and wont usually attack until u tell them to. Ive had a group of 5 or 6 new players, or lower lvl ones, and maybe 1 will get incapped b4 i get to him or her, while Ive had large groups of vets that the whole damn group gets incapped, and they are runnin around like crazy, while im tryin to heal em....

So if u are on the Eclipse server and need some good xp feel free to send me a tell, as Im usually out hunting somewhere...

i started out solo for about my first week or two, and was then aproached by a guild who let me run w/them for a while doing faction missions...after we finished all the missons they asked if i was w/a guild, and if i wanted to join theirs....most of them have been playing since release, and are really nice guys....guess it all depends on who u talk to, but its made my swg experience awesome being able to run w/the guild i do..MUCH better that going solo!!!! If your on Radient look me up (Ssadi), we'd love to have u!!!
