Moving furniture up on to a wallFollow

#1 Jan 18 2004 at 1:56 PM Rating: Decent
I've seen houses where people have items up on a wall, like a rifle or such. Whenever I drop a rifle in my house, it goes right to the floor and I can only move it forward/backward.

Does anyone know how to get an item up on to a wall? I would love to mount a nice rifle up there.

Thanks!

The only way found so far is to drop it on a set of stairs in your house, then use the "/movefurniture forward 1" command till it gets in the spot you like....

...though this does mean you have to have a two story house to do it... damn SOE

FirstAndOnly is correct. The only way to move items up or down in a house is by dropping them on stairs then moving them around at that height.

I remember reading a post by SOE that stated that house decorating was one of the worst implemented things in the game and they are trying to fix it by adding "move up" and "move down" commands (so at least they admit it). Whereas at the moment its just "move back" and "move forward" and "rotate".

Yes, I know this is a really minor issue but isn't it annoying to have to drop something on the stairs to then make it appear to be placed on a table or up on a wall?
And;
Why don't love seats and couches have seperate seating positions?
Why can't I lock doors inside my house?
Why can't someone else with admin rights declare themselves resident in your home? I nearly had an attractive house mate until we found that this wasn't possible. (yeah ok, irl "she" is prolly a 300lb middle aged man but "she" looks nice in game)
Why can't I lie on a bed?
Why do only torches give off light? Lamps don't.

(If I can do any of the above then please don't hesitate to explain how. Feel free to use the words "clueless" and "n00b" Smiley: smile)
