I have not discovered the search menu to search the forum, or may have over looked for this similiar request/complaint.
sorry, maybe time for a re-fresh :)
In leiu of questing the Holy fluid, it seems to me that Milk, not common in SWG, period, is a commodity that I believe to be more rare then then a Holocron itself, and when/if someone gets any I'm afraid that the cost will exceed the sane price of a finally crafting product.
A bio-engineer-me; along with a few other professions who seem to be rare on bria-i.e. master chefs, need this ingredient to make certain items, soem sre cool, others just to see how well it might work.
So how does one aquire Milk, I have heard rumors of people acquiring the substance, but yet i have been playing since 8/03, and yet to see it myself, now more then ever would like to aquire milk.
why is this so hard to find, and why only random NPC drops, it isnt worth neglecting my skills for weeks on end to come up empty, nor rewarding enough in itself.
does an NPC sell it?
is there places that encourage better drops?
are their NPC's that are more likely to drop it?
-I want to be part of a voice that is screaming at the Devs to make this unicorn appear, in a quest, or animal, or something, just not a 1/1,000,000,000 chance here, it is ludicris.

I've seen milk drop alot on Dantooine's tribals...but not in great quantity...i would say every third tribal would drop 1 unit of milk. I hope this helps to some extent.

I got good news! Scouts can harvest milk from living herbavores!
I got bad news! It doesn't work, and they still haven't fixed it!
Why they would announce a class feature and have it not work is beyond me. I wonder if they test this stuff sometimes?

Been getting about 3-5 units of milk a day from looting the containers, corpes, and loose debre piles in Caves on Rori and a few other planets, as well as Armor Attachments and Clothing Attachments (aka Skill Enhancements)
I have also looted it off of NPC's.. though it is rare.
Milk is use primarly by Bio-Engineers to make some very nice Clothing Components.. that a Tailor can then use to make Enchanced Clothes.
I have a Shirt that is +13 Taming Wild/Vicious Creatures .. the Bio-Engineer used Milk (20 units) as one of the ingredients.
I have also heard a few other nice things Bio Engineers can make, both were Creature Handler skills though.
They have already talked about fixing the Milk thing for Scouts/Rangers so look for it.
.. oh and until they fix the milk loot thing.. the shirt above goes for about 600k on Corbantis.

I regard to my uninformed post. Its not that its broke, it will be part of the Chef enhancement patch.
As to what its for, as far as i know its for BE's to raise creatures and to make clothing enhancements.

LOL Milk sells for 100k per unit which sucks but its hard as hell to find. It may have come down a little but tell me how much you need and ill get it for you and give you a discount.

Just a followup. You can purchase Milk from the bar tender in Doaba Guerfel. Converse with him. I'm not sure that's what you need, but you can buy it from him. 5 credits.
