I don't play a druid, but I do have to say:

Me likey.

Just wonder if the different color schemes are based on the character model or the equipment.

Sweet. Love druid already but this will make it even better if I don't have to look at ugly horde cat anymore.

I wondered this too. I kinda hope they make the forms (at least some of them) based on minor glyphs.

Night elves can choose to change their cat and bear look at any time by visiting the barber shop and changing their character's hair color, while tauren will be able to change which look they use by switching skin tones in the barber shop

According to the Blizzard post, it's based on your hair color (for night elves) or skin tone (for tauren). Cue the inevitable QQs, but it's still better than what we've got now, and it kind of makes sense that your color as an animal form would be based on some element of your body and not something you're wearing.

Thank you.

P.S.- Barbers can change a Tauren's skin tone? Creepy.

I guess I'm gonna have to play around with my druid a bit. Can't wait to see the Night Elf versions!

Are they going to be redoing Travel, Tree, etc, as well as Cat and Bear?

Nice, missed that, thanks!

Hmmm, I changed my character's hair color with WotLK (I recall it used to be green, and now it's a nice blue). If the forms look similar for Night Elves, I'll probably change the hair color to black; I think the black bear looks the coolest.

They probably just dye the fur.

Let's not think too deeply on what else they might be doing. But, should you see, say, a flensing knife in the TB barber shop, you should probably skip the makeover.

As someone who has played a Druid for a very, very long time, I'm so excited about this that I almost squeaked in glee like a little school girl excited about her jello pudding cup in her Hello Kitty lunchbox. Folks in the office would have been "inquisitive" to say the least.

I agree with the comment regarding the Druid forms "color & style" somewhat mirroring your general appearance as a Night Elf or Tauren. It gives further depth to the Barber Shop in-game, and I'm glad it wasn't based on gear, where you would have to have a certain level/configuration of gear to qualify obtaining a new look.

I cannot wait to see the Night Elf art for both Bear and Kitty. I'm so excited! *SQQUUEEEAKKKKK!*

My druid's hair has always been white, so I'm sure I'll end up with a polar-style bear form and a frostsaber-style cat form... which is fine with me!

I'm actually disgusted with a lot of the banter going on in the Druid O-Boards. People have spent years complaining about staring at the same art in their Druid Forms, hoping for something...and then when it comes along, it seems after some initial celebration there are now just a slew of complaints about how they're not "Epic" enough don't scale with gear, and yada yada.

The only thing I'm sad about is no new Tree or Moonkin forms yet, but I'm sure that the artists are working on them. There's no way they would have started the art expansion project for only half of a classes available primary forms. And it's hardly anything to complain about, because unless I'm raiding I spend all my time in my Feral spec anyways. Smiley: wink

They will be updating the Tree and Moonkin forms at a later date. There is a blue post stating so.

I wish they'd change travel form to a stag for NEs and a plainstrider/zhevra for tauren. I know they never will, but it'd be cool. You could do it pretty easily with a Hex editor, but Blizzard frowns on such behaviour.

Still, nice skins. I'm not too fond of the dangly moon, but otherwise pretty good. The black one looks best.

Awesome! =D

My druid was going to be leveled up into a Boomkin until I realized I hated that look and just abandoned her. Smiley: tongue

Definitely more interesting! I like. Now only if they could close their mouth. :P

A blue did state that the picture is the "rawr" animation and that when not roaring, their mouths close. Smiley: wink

It's funny because I was talking to Isyris the other day saying that it looks like my druid is constantly mad at the world with the way my face looked in bear form.

Can't wait for this to happen.

Really hoping the Tourney patch is the one it drops in.

Awesome. I'm now even happier my latest leveling alt is a druid. Not quite there yet (56 still) but it'll be fun to play around with colour schemes at 80. I hope they allow a little gear to show on moonkins too. Shoulder and wrist items would be awesome on a moonkin ...

Anyhow, it's great to see Blizzard continuing to geniunely add flavour to the game, not just content.

Kudos to them.
