I have to level my horde toon high enough to kill gnomes now, I need that in my life.

Gnomes are creepy and should die.

You could just wait a day and kill goblins instead.

But goblins are cool, so you may not want to.

It just wouldn't be the same.

Killing worgen is pretty cool.
Not quite as much fun as killing gnomes, but not bad either way.

This thread has not delivered lately.

So CoC (the new RoB n AoA event) is a PvP battle ground on my server. I've gone a few times and every time it turns into a small war until either we win and finish or get overwhelmed and retreat.

Good times.

THEO!
I need basic and reliable info on hunter PvP. Specs, pets, arena teams, (rated) BG stuff and general tips and tricks.
I don't really want to go to ArenaJunkies cause from my experience it's mostly people telling each other how much they suck so where can I get that info?

Or can you help me fill in this post?

I'll work on research this week. I'm currently flying back from Detroit where I had no Internet (thank Jesus for in-flight wifi) other than on 3G, so I'll probably work on it during leveling breaks while getting my hunter to 85.

Cool, thanks. I haven't even looked at any PvP yet but I'm probably going to at least farm points soon for the epic bow.

Hey guys, I think Druid shapeshifting out of roots is too powerful and should be nerfed. Frost Mages don't have enough survivability, to be honest.

Your thoughts?

I concur. But only with the latter. Less survivability for everyone, except for Rogues of course.

It's going to be fun the first time I run into a lone Frost Mage. Four roots, one PvP trinket.

**** yeah.

I miss the good old days where you could three-shot people with the right cooldowns. Ambush followed by Backstab and a Cold Blood Eviscerate. Good times, farming Molten Core raid groups in Blackrock Mountain.

Nostalgia.

Maz, your nostalgia is actually a very relevant point with regards to backstab's positional requirement. I didn't rogue in Vanilla, but from everything I've heard it used to hit like a truck relative to health pools and resilience availability (i.e., the complete lack thereof). So it made sense to restrict it somewhat. With today's 100k+ health pools (in pve gear!) and with the gobs of resil on pvp gear, it amounts to handicapping an ability that is underpowered to begin with.

Personally, as a sucker for the lore/feel of the game and as an enemy of homogenization, I don't like the idea of removing the positional requirement. At the very least, it needs a major dmg buff (more than it is getting in 406) so that when I do manage to overcome my latency and general pvp suckiness, I'm consistently rewarded with big ridiculous yellow numbers above my target's head.

If hemo has to be tweaked to compensate, so be it, it's doesn't do ***** anyways.

What do you guys think about some of the alternative solutions proposed, like buffing sub bleeds a la Maz and his kitty cat?

Maz, go level a rogue. From about level 40-64 you can 2 shot almost anything with premed > ambush > evis.

Also, why is rogue PvP so much fun? It's so cool when you get to use different openers and finishers and using your cooldowns well to kill multiple allies <3

The mobility of Subtlety is nice, but it feels so much like Feral that I found it boring.

And my Rogue is level 64. Smiley: lol

On a sidenote, I've got 63.3gb of raw material for the critpron video after deleting a whole bunch of rubbish, this is going to kill my HDD Smiley: lol
I think I've got maybe 4-5 minutes of good material, excluding an intro/outro so make that 6 minutes of video.

Oh and I had some of the most epic fun in AB yesterday, sapping 2 people who were trying to cap our base for about 20 seconds before the paladin consecrated. (edit: I should note here that I had about 50hp left and just vanished after killing a previous attacker and getting caught out of stealth and from range by the aforementioned 2)
I was laughing my *** off, then I noticed that fraps wasn't running Smiley: frown

Same happened to me when I was playing around with a keyboard turning shaman who was trying to cast a LB at me for about 10-15 seconds before I finished him off.

60 GB for 4 minutes of video? What the hell, man?

What resolution did you record that in?

Notice the word 'good'. There's probably about an hour of material, it's just that that would result in only 4-5 minutes of PvP movie.

I see. So, other than the Ambush and Eviscerate crits, what did you record?

Oh and I'm totally going to use the first 40 seconds of this video for the intro of the video.

(Sadly I couldn't find the track on it's own on youtube but the following song is cool too)

Edit: Don't play this out loud at work or something.

That certainly is less mainstream.

Was imagining Lore of the Arcane by Hammerfall, or something, but a woman climaxing? Sure, why not.
