OK, 00:08 counts as Friday over here. I have to go out again and rather than letting things slide two weeks in a row, I'm posting early-ish. Smiley: sly

WOW: I'm trying hard to get Pandakration to the point I can get the holiday mount. RL may leave me 25 or so tokens short if I miss things Friday, erm, I mean today.

RL: Um ... part of what could keep me from posting is that Pink wants to do wedding negotiations tomorrow today. In China, it isn't just a simple pop the question drill, there are all kinds of things that have to be hashed out between the families. A Chinese friend is handling things on my behalf, with one of my former students as a translator. I've been playing Monks to much, I think I've assumed the Posture of the Stunned Ox. This is like the difference between thinking you might have one the Lottery and actually having to prepare the tax paperwork because you really did.

Sorry, the RNG is going to do all of you over this weekend and it is my fault. I may have exhausted several continents worth of good luck. The best I can offer hope for is that may the misfortune required to balance things fall upon your foes!

Seriously, good luck everyone!

Hmmm...weekend, huh?

Seems a ways off since it's only Thursday morning, but oh well.

My primary goal will be to construct an enderman farm...oh, wait...wrong game.

WoW - Get my 72 DK up to 75. Maybe look for a casual guild to join. I started this toon primarily to hunt for pets on a low pop server. But, I've been enjoying playing and I've really committed more time and effort than was necessary for just a pet hunting toon. So, I think maybe I'll look for a guild. I don't want to make any major commitment, since the toon will never be a main, and will take a back seat to the toons on my main server. But, it'd be kind of cool to get guild perks and maybe socialize a little on the server. I don't know, we'll see.

I'm down to under 30 rares to nab from pet battles. A lot of those are in Pandaria. So, I think I'll combine working on leveling 75 pets to level 25, and power leveling lowbies, with the hunting. I'm at around 45ish level 25 pets. So, maybe I'll shoot for adding 10-15 more level 25s.

RL - Hopefully some house hunting. Hockey Sunday night. Otherwise, I expect a pretty mellow weekend.

Hope everyone has a good weekend...when it gets here :-)

Oh, and good luck with the negotiations Rhode! Er, I mean congratulations?!?

Weekday summary - gained 7k or so rep with august celestials towards exalted, need 48 cards for my love is in the air mount, gained about 300 valor, leveled my priest from 22 to about 26.

Weekend goals - level my priest closer to 40, start working on leveling my wife's guild, get exalted with august celestials, think I need about 7k to max out exalted. Get my 48 cards for holiday mount, max out valor, start working on cloud serpeants rep and raise fishing to start maxing out anglers rep.

RL - car shopping, relaxing and working on the garden if it is not raining, wife is pretty stressed out (work) so a lot depends on how she is feeling. Do the usual cleaning and cooking as well at some point.

WoW: All the minor little things that take up so much of my gaming time...gathering, working on inscrip, dailies, randoms, maybe a lfr or two.

When I previously said I was looking at a break, maybe coming soon, I think I confirmed that today when I downloaded and ran the benchmark for a certain FF game I've been waiting years for. It's looking really good. As I said on that forum, I think I've already moved on in my head. So the closed Beta there starts Monday, which leads me to think the break will take place in April or May, hoping sooner tho.

RL: More snow heading east, so the garage is on hold. I'm sure my girl will find something to do for us both. Smiley: rolleyes

WoW: Used a Flawless Battle-Stone to upgrade my Baby Blizzard Bear earlier this week, so I'm eager to get him to the cap and start pounding away on people. I'd also like to finish the Jade Forest already and move on to something a little less jungle-like.

RL: Coupons and grocery shopping. Maybe family in town, maybe not. Maybe get to the driving range, maybe not. Maybe just sit at home on the couch all day. We will see.

Congo-rats, Rhode!

RL: Going to a church event tonight. Feels weird to say that, being an agnostic atheist... but it's a UU church, so it's not actually really religious. Anyway, the "even" is a movie night, where everyone brings their own appetizers to share with the group; I baked up some bread stuffed with cheese and sausage last night, so I'm all set! Should be a fun time... hopefully... I don't know anyone in the church yet, but two of my friends are coming too, so it shouldn't be too awkward (fingers crossed!). Other than that, church again on Sunday... and maybe the only other RL goal is to clean my damn apartment! Oh, and call Verizon to get them to replace the battery in the Fios box. Darn thing was beeping every half hour last night while I was trying to sleep Smiley: mad

WoW: I'm kinda burnt out from WoW... no, that's not right. I'm more interested in playing/replaying single-player games than playing WoW until 5.2. If I do have some time, maybe work on my mage (currently 83) or rogue (also 83). It's fascinating to see the difference between the two classes; mage is SO much easier. Though getting some Pandaria BoE gear for the rogue helped immensely.

Other: MASS EFFECT! Getting close to finishing the first game as an Insanity, Renegade, Soldier, Fem-Shep. It was tough as nails at low levels; now the only real challenge is trying to not fall asleep while I pump enemies full of slugs for 30 seconds to kill them. Oh, and by "getting close to finishing" I mean "My next main mission is Virmire, but I've completed 95% of the collection/survey questions, and I went from level 1 to level 51" Smiley: tongue So not actually all that close, story-wise, but level-wise and sidequest-wise, I'm getting close! Then onto ME2 Smiley: sly

I haven't been too active in the game lately due to the fall college semester starting up again just two weeks ago. However, I try to get on everyday and manage the farm, do a daily or two, at least one PvP pet battle and check the guild bank to ensure it's fully stocked for raiding supplies (banquets/flasks/pots).

RL: Just working on homework and relaxing primarily.

My parents run a UU church, rather small one, but they're into it. I haven't been much of a church person since finishing high school. I was raised Catholic and really became turned off by most of that spiritual stuff afterwords. I'm just too much of a scientific person I guess to be able to accommodate religious views.

I also had that issue with Verizon FiOS once. It was resolved rather quickly thankfully. That being said though, I freaking love FiOS. Best ISP switch I've ever made! How do you feel about it?

That's my story as well (raised Catholic, turned off by the time I had finished high school). I'm mostly looking into it for the community now. Friday was a good time; met several new people, which is a first since I've moved to Tampa in September Smiley: nod

FiOS is great. I had been using Cox before this; either it was because I had three apartment-mates or it was just crappy service, but I had much slower speeds and outages at least once a week (usually just requiring a quick reset, but sometimes lasting for hours). My friends in the same area here in Tampa have Brighthouse, and their service is TERRIBLE compared to Verizon. We missed the New Years ball drop because their cable was out yet again; their internet speed is noticeably slower than mine. When I moved here I had a choice between Verizon and Brighthouse; Verizon was about $15 more per month, but it was definitely worth the cost. Prior to this beeping I've had no issues and I've only had to reset the router once so far.
