I've had a couple posts on meters, parses & the fact that unless you know how to read that data and pull meaningful information from that data, then you are probably being stupid in a dumb way. This is more about parses and simcraft, but interesting nonetheless.

/still bitter about an add control fight where we had top dps who had zero add damage and couldn't wrap their minds around the fact that while their dps was top they were actually failing the encounter for us in an expansion from multiple years ago

Don't feel bad. We all have our moments of bitterness remembering some things from the old days. And many of them involve DPS meters.

Mine involves being 3rd or 4th on DPS during decurse heavy fights in MC while also being in the top 3 on decurses. Well, that and the thing about being near the top on damage on Supremus as a fire mage with no Curse of Elements.
