Anyone know how I might be able to fx ths problem??? I know it might be my addons but if it is its not recount cuz ive tried to deactivate it and I still d/c.

I'd suggest using Blizz's tech forum and search there. Surprisingly, a solution might be there.

Sarcasm? Yes, but as I was a victim of the post patch "critical error 134" blues, I was thrilled when a solution I found there actually worked.

Based on the many other folks having lag issues, disconnects, unable to logon on some/any toons, and such since the patch, it's unlikely your addons are a cause.

I know there's been a super-annoying bug for most of Cataclysm, if not before.

I've never come across it until late-Cataclysm, so I never took note of it.

Apparently, anytime you touch a wall, or step up onto a large rock, tree branch, etc, you can get DC'd.

I've actually seen this happen, just yesterday. I was in Stormwind City, and I was trying to do that stupid lame daily, "Orphans Like Cookies Too" (seriously, this is THE worst daily ever invented, like, Ever) when I was running into the Old Town Tavern (the one where the cooking trainer is) and I stepped up onto the railing next to the stairs down to the basement right beside the trainer and......

"YOU HAVE BEEN DISCONNECTED FROM THE SERVER"

*rolls eyes*

Seriously?

And I've also seen it in Twilight Highlands, was doing the dailies there when on my way down into one of the basements, I walked up against the wall (since those basements have super narrow passageways into them) and... WHAM, I got DC'd. Instantly. As soon as I touched the wall.

Don't get why they can't fix the stupid bug already.

After participating in a few LENGTHY discussions on O-boards, it sounds like the culprit is Cross-Realm Zones (CRZ).

They are EXTREMELY buggy and can cause a LOT of issues, not limited to:

1). LAG (800ms+ when you normally get ~100ms)
2). Dailies to fail or not appear because of timezone differences. (You play on an EST server, change zones now you're on PST)
3). Wintergrasp/Tol Barad oddness (both sides having control of the zone simultaneously, and the shouts in SW/Org even when you don't control it)
4). Disconnects.
5). Error #134.
6). Hearthstone failing if your destination happens to be on a server that's down at the time.
7). Unable to report players who are on other servers.
8). PvP and PvE servers being mixed despite their assurances this would not be the case.

etc etc etc.

An interesting side effect of cross realm zones I've noticed is that everytime I cross from Icecrown into Storm Peaks (doing Argent Tournament dailies), my chat log is spammed with "You have learned the Plate skill" "Your skill in Swords is now 400" and so on. Same thing when I go back into Icecrown. This is also accompanied by a 30 second pause where I can't move my character. The cross realm thing also means that dailies I could do in 20 minutes because of no competition take longer because there's now a bunch of people from other servers killing the same mobs. Yesterday, every single Boneguard Commander was dead and I had to wait for respawns, which is an odd experience on old content.

Good...awesome. I'm on Area 52, this is just what we need...more people competing for the same resources on an already incredibly jammed realm.
I'd wondered what the "you have learned..." spams were. The bright boys in Blizz IT dept have outdone themselves this expansion.

Apparently (if it works as intended of course) zones with a high population should not be merged with other realms. I play on Exodar and before 5.0.4 I saw maybe one other person from my realm while I was in Icecrown doing dailies. So that zone was pretty empty which makes it eligible for cross-realming if I understand what I've read about it. It doesn't make any sense to fill an already full zone with people from other realms, but we all know Blizzard doesn't always do what makes the most sense.
