Hi,have been enjoying my free version of wow up to level 20,i now want to upgrade but have just realised that i have been using the americas and Oceania as my region,does this matter or can i change it to Europe without losing my character?

Not 100% sure but I think you would have to start again. Shouldnt take you long to lvl another thou :)
Sometimes being in a different region can be helpful. Where you may be able to use your gathering profession(s) without having as much competition from others, because they are all asleep or at work.... But you might also find the realm somewhat quieter because of that.
Otherwise, it is very quick to level a character up to 20 again, or multiple characters if you wish to become an altaholic like some of us in the forums.

US and EU are 2 totally different accounts. You'll have to make a EU account.
