This looks a lot like a survey to me.

Not one of those questions will help you out in WoW. My advice to you as a new player, try asking
questions that are related to the aspects of WoW.... such as how is your reaction time during encounters
while heavily drinking.

It does feel pretty surveyish, but I prefer this format of answering in the thread to the ones that want you to go to another website and register personal information.

I'll be 47 next week. I'm female. My main character is a male Troll Shaman (enhancement spec). I have nine characters that are level 85 right now and a few more closing in on that. I also have many characters of various other lower levels. I love questing in this game and I love playing lowbies. I have been playing WoW since August of 2006 so that puts me at about five and a half years.

Most of my current friends are people who I know from playing the game. I socialize online with a few of them outside of the game and have met a few in person while traveling as well. I have a live-in boyfriend and I work full-time so it's not like I have a reason or the time to go out and socialize with strangers to find more friends. I'm rather shy in person too so getting to know people online is much more comfortable for me.

Most of my in-game friends I have made in the context of being in a guild. I tend to feel a bit awkward if I am new to a guild but after a while I feel comfortable enough to talk to any of the guildies even if I don't know them well. I do have a few friends though who I met through the WoW forums. I even made a character on another server to play with some people I met and even after that eventually fell apart, one of those friends transferred to my main server and joined the guild my main was in.

Even though my boyfriend is a gamer, we really don't game much together. He used to play WoW but even then we were seldom in the same guilds though even when we were, we would mostly just raid together. He does have some real life friends that he plays other games with and uses online games as a way to keep in touch with friends that he left behind when he moved from Nebraska to California. It actually works out really well to not be constantly playing together because it gives us more to talk about when we're out driving around or eating dinner together.

The format isn't the issue. The rules in place are to protect the community against being treated like a lab specimen. Nothing to do with the links, really.
