MMO-Champion says that the World is ending this week.

Let's confirm this, yes, Patch 4.0.3a will be deployed on live servers this week and will change the world of Azeroth forever. You only have a few hours left to say good bye to the old world (and farm try to get that stupid mount in Zul'gurub) before Deathwing decides that it needs a new look. All the information and the official patch notes are available below.

Get ready for the biggest change you ever witnessed in World of Warcraft, and enjoy!

Yay? or too soon?

yay!!!!!!

I've been pretty much playing WoW with nothing to do for the last month. Can't seem to get to LK, Warlock is fun but it is Warlock...
I'm ready for something "new" to do.

It's the end of the world as we know it
It's the end of the world as we know it
It's the end of the world as we know it
And I feel fine.

Edit: Um. Okay then. I guess some people don't like that song?

can't say that it is too soon when the expac comes out in 2 weeks. it's better that they get it deployed and have a week for any critical patches/hotfixes before full release.

Well, not really a surprise as Cata is two weeks off right now.

20% 71-80 EXP requirements reduction is cool, pitty my hunter is 78 already so he won't benefit much from this change.

Yay!!!

And I saw this in the patch notes:

Mysterious Egg now takes only 3 days to turn into a Cracked Egg and has a slightly greater chance of awarding the Reins of the Green Proto-Drake

mega-YaY!!

I have 2 days to finish my Pilgrim achievement, because there is no way I will be spending time doing that when there is a whole new world to explore.

Cool I can start leveling up my New human hunter.

Yay! I'm really glad we are getting chunks of the new early like we have. Perhaps Dec. 7 will go smoother, because they have a couple weeks to patch problems they see this week.

This is what I was thinking when I asked too soon. I was hoping for some time to finish getting the Pilgrim title before being blown away by Deathwing.

But I'm still excited for the upcoming changes.

Hmm, that actually gives me a reason to start the Oracle quest chain on my druid and start buying the eggs again on my mage!

My first goal is to head to Hillsbrad Foothills and do the Plants vs. Zombies copy cat quest chain. :D It looks really awesome.

After exploring a bit, I'm going to go roll a Dwarf Shaman.

Did not see it mentioned anywhere in the notes, are we going to be able to fly in Azeroth in this patch?
#18 Nov 22 2010 at 11:04 AM Rating: Good
No, you won't be able to fly in the patch. You can't fly until Cata is released and your account is upgraded. Not to be a *****, but that was announced at least two months ago and has been mentioned several times on these boards, and in particular in the thread about the patch Anobix started just a few topics down. It still amazes me sometimes how many people ask questions like this when it's very easy to look up, and you get your answer faster that way. It's not just you DrunkDrood, last night trade chat had a full blown argument with some idiot convinced that we were going to be able to fly on Tuesday, despite everyone else telling him that he was wrong. Also, just to be clear I'm not calling you an idiot, just that particular person.

I can't wait to make my pally a Tauren! I even have a silly back story worked out. The first pally to earn the name Shozin was a male Belf in BC. After he retired to a life of peaceful farming on a floating rock in Nagrand a new Shozin was chosen from the Secret Elite Paladin Society(SEPS). She was a belf of some distinction who was also smokin hot.

After dealing with the Scourge uprising she fell in love with a dashing Orc rogue. They now own a small store in Dalaran that specializes in half orc clothing for children.

A great SEPS tournament was held to determine who if anyone should become the new Shozin. For the first time in Horde history a Tauren bull stomped all others in the competition. Blessed with thick strong horns it was determined he would become the new Shozin. The world could rest easy again knowing that whatever Deathwing did there would always be a Shozin to deal with it.

(kind of a Dread Pirate Roberts thing) Smiley: nod

Finally get to make a troll druid!! I'm very excited. I wanted a Horde druid but Tauren isn't really my thing.

Sorry I did not research it beyond reading that post on MMO Champ and it was not in the list of things not included.

I am honestly looking more forward to this than the actual expansion. The thought of leveling another alt through vanilla wow just isn't appearling to me anymore. After leveling 5 80's, and a 63 hunter I have seen all I care to see of the current lvl t to 58 content. I have really been looking forward to leveling a couple of alts under the new zone layout/quests.

It's okay, I'm rather cranky today as I didn't sleep at all last night. I didn't mean to bite your head off or anything. My point still stands though. I may be enough of an idiot to not think to set my bank toon's hearth at my preferred city prior to the shattering, but at least I do enough research to know what's coming up in patches. :-p
