Not for 3.4 but as an extension to 3.3, sounds good lots of empty rooms in there for filler raids.

For the final question, there’s been some rumors going around and I wanted to clear them up. You guys have wrapped up the main Lich King storyline. Icecrown is out there, which you guys have said is the final major raid for this expansion. But there are some rumors that there might be another content patch of some sort before Cataclysm releases.

That is a possibility. We can’t say for sure at this point, but we are looking into the possibility of having a boss in the Ruby Sanctum, which is another part of Wyrmrest Temple. It’s a little too early to have a lot of details on that, but I wouldn’t characterize it as a huge chunk of content. It’s not a patch 3.4 or anything.

Not a whole raid, but maybe just a smaller boss instance?

Exactly. I think of it more as an extension of patch 3.3.

I have no idea why we would kill the Red dragon flight as they have been helpful throughout the expansion. A BM type event or teaser info for Cata are my guesses.

Q4 release of Cataclysm, of course there will be raid content to fill it up.

Troll raid or Wyrmcrest dungeon, events leading up to cataclysm such as the sundering of Barrens etc (much like zombie plague) then 3.4 or whatever last patch is to give us Cataclysm changes. Obviously, BG changes etc.

March, April, May, June, July, August, Sept, Oct and probably first half of Nov before xpac comes out. Ulduar was out in April and was phased out before Sept.

Honestly, it's about damn time.

They said they'd use those rooms down there, and I've been waiting for them to since WotLK launched.

I see this as being another "fight the corrupted good dragon" scenario. But hey, filler content isn't meant to be overly epic, just meant to keep people occupied. I'm fine with that.

As long as they don't pull another Sunwell.

That said, I'm always excited for more raid content (unless it's another Troll raid). I wonder if they'll open up any of the other rooms before Cata?

A Ruby Sanctum raid wouldn't necessarily have to be a fight against the Red Dragonflight. If it were used as a buildup to Cata, it could be done more along the lines of PoS: You'd be going in to help the Reds (probably because of an atttack by the Black dragonflight). Just inside there'd be an NPC to start the event, who would ask you to: fight off an attack, assault the next area (maybe freeing/helping reds), then take the battle to the leader of the attack.

Doing it like that would get you in the frame of mind of seeing the Black DF as 'the bad guys' (as oppsed to OS, which made you think of them as a nice place to get some loot).

Additional thought: In line with the way Blizz has made some parts of the game more personalised in LK, your first time in there you could have a quest (like PoS) where the dragon you free/save turns out to be the same one you rode doing the Wyrmrest Temple daily.

Or the Maly fight. Which could be the same one from there too, maybe?

I have often wondered why there isn't more raids in Wyrmrest. I mean there are numerous portals to support them.

As we prepare for the public testing phase of minor content patch 3.3.3, some players might come across information regarding upcoming content that isn't yet available. To avoid any confusion, we'd like to tell you about an exciting new raid dungeon we are working on for content patch 3.3.5.

The Ruby Sanctum

A powerful war party of the Black Dragonflight, led by the fearsome Twilight dragon, Halion, have launched an assault upon the Ruby Sanctum beneath Wyrmrest Temple. By destroying the sanctum, the Black Dragonflight look to crush those that would stand in the way of their master’s reemergence into Azeroth and to ultimately shatter the Wyrmrest Accord – the sacred bond that unites the dragonflights.

The battle that is to come will surely deal a crippling blow to the Red Dragonflight, however, it is up to you to stop this unprecedented offensive and defend the Ruby Sanctum. First you must face the assault of Halion's servants, Saviana Ragefire, Baltharus the Warborn, and General Zarithrian, before squaring off against Halion the Twilight Destroyer, a new and deadly force in this realm.

The Ruby Sanctum will feature 10- and 25-player content, Heroic difficulties and all-new rewards! Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to its release.

Sounds a lot like Mount Hyjal with their use of the word assault. At least that's the image I am getting.
