For the 'Let it Snow' portion, if you just so happened to play one of those race/class combos, you can snowflake yourself and have it count towards the achievement.

Let it snow was simple if you have access to a nuetral town/city like Gadgetzan or Dalaran. Just hang out in the banks. I got all mine in Daralan in a few minutes.

You cannot kiss the revelers in Darlan. Actually, you can kiss them, they just don't give anything for it.

The hardest one so far for me was bringing my cooking up from level zero to 325 so I could make Hot Apple Cider. But now that I am making my own Northrend spell food, it was so worth the three day grind.

It seems a few things might have been 'fixed' in the last maintenance. The 'debuff' you get when kissing the revelers now goes away when logged out. So logging in once an hour on alts to get snowflakes is much easier!

I also noticed yesterday that the Greench was spawning faster and in all spawn points. So there could actually be up to 5 or 6 alive at any time depending on how many players have been there to do the quest lately. Did the quest with 3 characters yesterday and had no problem running right up and finding a Greench to kill.

Nice changes. Now only if there were an easier way to get to that flying ship in Icecrown. :/

Under all the mistletoe stand two revelers. Target one, then the other, then push the macro. You will get two of the item (and two debuffs, but they both last an hour). You can get twice the amount this way. Again, I doubt you'll get in trouble for this; it's Winter Veil, for goodness sakes! Spread the love!

I was heading to an inn to get my /kiss on, and one other was there. They did a macro too, but instead of two, they got four! Can anyone confirm a different macro set up for that outcome?

Or you could be like me, run in -> die twice to get within spawn range of the goblin -> spawn -> Howl of Terror -> buy -> die another 4-5 times trying to get out -> /flex

Thanks for the info people. A few of these I didn't quite know how they worked.

Overall, the christmas achievement seems a lot easier than the Halloween one, doesn't it?

I am wondering.. is there ANY way to get what would normally be the other faction's dress color? (Besides from using a neutral AH if you happen to be on a PvE server, where having toons with both factions is legal)

Yes. Penny Copperpinch is a goblin vendor in Orgrimmar. She is neutral, and sells the green recipe. So... if you're willing to die a few times, yes, you can run into Orgrimmar and buy the pattern. Keep in mind the pattern is BoP, but the clothing is BoE, so you can buy the clothing on the neutral AH.

Edit: And for Hordies, the red pattern is available from Wulmort Jingleprocket in IF. He's neutral as well... but speaking from experience, I think you're likely to die before getting within 10 feet of him. Try going at 3 am.

I got the green one (as Alliance) as a random reward from the "Treats for Grandfather Winter" quest.

Just a note about the macro for extra kisses.

WoWhead comments have a link posted to a Blue who stats that they know that it is there and it will be fixed soon. It is considered an exploit and as such could have repercussions.

I was thinking the same thing as long as you are 77+. But I don't mind it one bit. :)

The winter revelers in the Horde Inn in Dalaran are bugged - you cant kiss 'em for stuff - cant find any others anywhere in the xpac for Horde - gotta go back to previous areas for kisses it seems. >_<

A small correction on Oh Metzen. In Searing Gorge the kidnappers are level 45 including a war golem. Not a really big difference unless you're a level 42 Mage attempting the quest.
At 3 levels above they are red to me and my spells missed more than once. I went in expecting level 40s and it was very difficult to engage multiples that were as high as 45.
They are packed pretty close around the reindeer. I ended up having to get a guildie to help after I picked off all the kidnappers on the edge. Otherwise, good info.

Just a note on the small eggs for Alliance, the moonkin in Darkshore drop them very nicely.

I think its kinda stupid how difficult they have made getting the hats. I mean come on you gotta put together a 5 person group and run a dungeon to get an item that a lvl 1 should be wearing? And its not like your guaranteed the hat if you run it since im sure the rest of the group will want it (unless its an item everybody can loot?)

--> Soloed the red hat. It's not hard. Now, it bites that the green hat is off a level 81 boss, but still...

There's also the fact that they're random world drops as well, so low-level or unsocial players are not SOL.

Note: at 3 levels higher than you, you had an 8% miss rate (minus bonus hit modifiers and talents). You should have had no problem with these enemies at level 42. They would not be red, but yellow. And sorry, I should have written (low level 40s).
