*sigh*

So my friend hit 70 last night (Warrior) and we are heading out to shadowmoon valley to pick up his spiffy new mount.

As we leave Shattrah we spot an ally shaman up ahead ... named "Astel" or "Ansel" (I think, forgive me if i messed up the name) lo and behold this is someone from TFS.
So we decide to attack.

*sigh*

we fail ... we fail miserably.

The only stun I landed succesfully was the opener, every other one failed to land and every one of my kicks failed to land at the right time.

In addition we probably got him down to 10% several times before he would heal up to max due to my ****** stunning. We aggroed 2 spiders and a wolf apparently as well, and the warrior, when he popped a shout or thunderclap got them all on him.

The warrior died, and I finally (after blowing every cooldown ... *sigh*) decided to run. got aggro on the way and had Flame shock ticking me down (I had dinged 66 about 20 minutes earlier and had yet to get used to CloS *doh*).

I finally broke aggro, was out of combat ran behind a tree and started eating.

Basalisk came up and 2 shot me.

We were almost in tears trying to figure out wtf went wrong, meanwhile I'm sure the other guy was laughing his *** off and rightly so.

Admittedly though he got greedy and hung around, and the next time we got on the ball and killed him.

I still consider it a loss for us though, the first fight was just full of suck.

Just goes to show- ganks are EVIL lol and will backfire occasionally (unless you're one of those annoying lvl 70s who like to gank lvl 30s to feel good about themselves).

That's why i like my nice PvE server.

I heard Shamans get their own faction in patch 2.1.

Woah TseTsuo... we're in the same guild. Guess we could make Spartan the official anti-5th Star Alla guild on Anetheron.

As KT will attest any run-in with them 5th Star people always result in much grief. Even when I'm just trying to /wave. Think they have a hex on all Horde.

The whole time reading the OP I was just waiting for the post below by baelnic, laughing at them for failing to kill his resto shammy... where the hell is Bael, he needs to post here.

I camped a Warlock from Red Losbter for about an hour at the Elemental Plateau... Playwithyou was her name.

So we played!

At some point she got in her mount, so I got on mine (epic!) and followed her around... she landed on a mountain top and tried to dot me, but I just flew out of range, then swooped back down and dismounted/stealthed.

She panicked big time when she realised she was about to die again... so she jumped off the mountain. Died - durability loss - and in a spot she couldn't get to in ghost form, so she had to GY rez.

Made my day.

Teach you to deathcoil me while I'm farming and not bothering anybody >_<

it was good times, i blame myself for the loss.

The second time i was on the ball with the stuns, though.

We were gonna just leave, hanging our heads in shame but another friend was over watching and was like "you're just gonna walk away?"

So we had to fight again otherwise get made fun of the rest of the night for pussing out.

Ansel played well though we just ****** up at every possible opportunity on the first fight.

Spartan... weren't you the guild that was raiding Westfall and Elwynn Forest the other day? it was about 10-15 lowbies (under 50) and a 70 hunter. I had fun slaughtering them all, got owned by a 70 warlock who got called in which was also fun, but I came back and watched em get owned by SW guards (should have stayed in westfall lol). Had a great time, except for one paladin in his mid 40s who had the nerve to /spit on me after it took 10 of them to kill me (not to cheapen their victory, but it did take them 2 tries to mass rez before they could pull it off). I guarantee I will kill him on sight from now on. His name was Darthral. Tell him he should learn some world pvp manners for me Smiley: smile. /spit is reserved for those who gank people in pve settings Smiley: tongue. Killing a horde in alliance territory? That should be a given Smiley: grin.

Bwhahahahaha.

Yes, it's true, I have 5 points in Enhancement and 56 points in resto. I was also in full resto gear both times since I came directly from a raid and was just out to pick a few pinecones when someone aggroed me. I ran a bit on my Elephant because I figured they'd get bored but no. So here I am at 70% life with no Earthshield and stunned and I get to heal, a lot, probably for like 50k damage while they try to pummel me. I fully assumed they'd be done with me shortly so I didn't even bother to cast shocks or drop a searing totem. So there I am waiting getting Nature's Guardian procs and healing back to full. Now I'm starting to get bored and I have 2 or three spiders on me and it looks like they've trained every mob in Terrokar on themselves. I finally toss up Flametongue weapon and start autoattacking. Eventually via the overpowered nature of autoattacking for 5 mins and their inability to kill me I win.

It's only after they died did I realize that was the most futile attempt to gank someone I've ever witnessed. It did give me a chuckle. I only hope you guys never try to gank a Paladin. You guys would be at it for hours even if you had someone healboting you Smiley: lol

Shammies are tough to kill. I end up oom and the shammy is still alive.

They are like pallies only with more dps.

I've seen it; shammies with resto and good gear.
Yeah, they do more DPS than paladins, but that makes up for their lack of plate.
The big thing is if you've got a healadin or resto shammy you're either going to have to be ready to sit in for a looooong fight, or have a few tactical nukes sitting next to you. ^.^

On a side note..! Resto shammy and healadin fights are fun to watch.
