might rate up to dumbest question ever asked, but I do not know how it works.

I know how to get to the edit macro screen, and type in the text but how do I get to to type the text in [1.General] like" Join My Guild, I give cookies"
#156 Oct 05 2007 at 4:30 AM Rating: Good
/1 Join my guild, I like cookies.

Same way you type normally. =p

/1 Roses are Red
/1 Violets are Not
/1 Join my Guild Now
/1 We have chicks that are Hot

etc. Alternatively, you can omit the /1 marks, as in simply using

Roses are Red
Violets are Not
Join my Guild Now
We have chicks that are Hot

and the text will default to outputting in whatever chat channel you typed in last.

/say Hi there!
(Hit Macro)
You say: Roses are Red
You say: Violets are Not
You say: Join my Guild Now
You say: We have chicks that are Hot

/yell Hello, Orgrimmar! Are you ready to rock?
(Hit Macro)
You yell: Roses are Red
You yell: Violets are Not
You yell: Join my Guild Now
You yell: We have chicks that are Hot

The final method is a hybrid - putting the chat command on the first line, then omitting it.

/1 Roses are Red
Violets are Not
Join my Guild Now
We have chicks that are Hot

(Hit Macro)
[1.General]: Roses are Red

etc.

Hello everyone,

I am a newbie at macro design and since WoW is offline at the moment it got me thinking of possible macros to try.

So would the following work? (i want to use it in PVP)

I will call it "The Pwn4g3 Macro"

/targetenemy
/cast Hunter's Mark
/stopcasting
/cast Bestial Wrath
/stopcasting
/cast Intimidation
/petattack
/cast Aspect of the hawk
/stopcasting
/cast Serpent Sting

BUT... would it work?

Ok not sure if this is possible, maybe someone can help me? I am trying to create a macro that will do the following:

/stopmacro[help]
/cast presence of mind
/stopcasting
/cast arcane power
/stopcasting
/use Xi'ri's Gift
/stopcasting
/cast Frostbolt

As long as all things are not on cool down it works, but if one item is on it's cool down the macro doesn't work. Is there a way to check to see if it is on cool down and if so skip it and go on to the next spell? Example: (

/stopmacro[help]
/cast [not on cooldown] presence of mind
/stopcasting
/cast [not on cooldown] arcane power
/stopcasting
/use [not on cooldown] Xi'ri's Gift
/stopcasting
/cast Frostbolt

There has to be a way to do this..

Blizz doesn't want people using things with cooldowns repetitively =\ they think we could use it to macro/bot .

None yet! Suggest some to me and I’ll include them.

Oh wonderful...just what I need!

No, I'm kidding Zip...here's some I found on WoWWiki:

It's been real helpful for me. If you ever feel like updating this then that's a great start for Shammies.

I love this post, and have recently switched from a protection speced pally to a holy (healadin) spec pally for instance and raid running and I'm looking for ideas or examples of good healing based macros you have seen used. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Okay here is another one, once in awhile you get into a fight with multiple enemys while in a group, you finish of the first guy and then you want to stay on the same guy as your tank so as not to draw aggro onto yourself, is there a macro that could be written to target the same guy that your tank switches to in a hurry without haveing to tab through them to determine which one he is attacking?

Make the tank your focus, then /assist focus should work. If not, or you use focus for other things, then /assist Playername works.

I would like to create a macro which would remove my gloves & place them into an empty bag slot. I can swap items but I can’t figure out how to simply take an item off & place it into a bag. Thanks for your help.

Very awesome guide =)
BTW, I tried to use the feral charge macro but it only put me in dire bear form and didn't charge... the only way to do that was to double click the macro whilst trying to avoid the global cooldown. Is that supposed to happen?

EDIT: This also happens in Cat Form with the Easy Stealth macro. Anyway to bypass this, or do you just have to double press?

Also, when doing EasyCharge and Easyprowl, shouldn't it be /cancelFORM, and not /cancelAURA? ;)

Castsequence is currently broken, until the next patch (2.3.3).

Thanks, it works now, great guide RPZip

Edit: The thing is, I had to use commas instead of semi-colons to make cast-sequence work, just so you know.

Is it possible to have one macro that casts a spell on your focus, or cast that same spell on selected target if there is no focus?

I have a question about random mount macro's.
I currently have the macro:
/cast Aspect of the Hawk
/castrandom Black War Ram, Great Green Elekk

The reason I have AotH on the macro is in pvp and sometimes in pve I'll have aspect of the cheetah or pack on and will for get to activate AotH for the added ranged damage.

My problem is that, if I'm mounted and dismount to fight everything works like I wanted. Once I click the macro to mount up again, the macro deactivates AotH and opens the mount. The only way I can get it to keep AotH on is to move to cancel the mount anc click the marco again.

My question is, is there something I can add to keep the macro from deactivating AotH when it is already active?
