Does this technically make me a twink?Follow

#1 Dec 22 2006 at 9:30 AM Rating: Decent
I've been playing for about two months now, I didn't have any alternate characters, none of my guild mates have helped me truly in any way. But I've mapped out everything I've done so far.

Picking my toon, deciding what professions would make me gold, then executed the plan. Then I compared all the armor for my level and made a list of all that would give me the best stats and are currently going after them one by one. So does all this careful and tencious planning make me a twink that if I ever join a battleground or a raid and people see for my level I have all the top gear, is this something they would assume?

By this new definition of the word twink I think as long as you get everything without help from friends or your other toons, then you would technically not be a twink. Its that whole being handed everything that makes a twink a twink.

It probably doesnt matter though, everyone would assume you are =p

I don't think it would... the gear is important but its the enchants that really matter. The enchants are what gives the reall edge over the fight.

Oo I forgot about enchants! Thanks I'll add that on my list of things to do once I get all my level 40 armor and weapon.

Speaking of which what are some good enchants for me at this level for a level 40 lock with good gear?

If they call you a twink, they'll be calling me one as well. I do the same thing, but add potions and food to the mix. I skilled up cooking for the nice +stam buff, took alchemy for all the different, stackable buffs, have an alt enchanter for a few mid-to-high enchants (after getting non-BoP gear, send to him for the enchants), leveling a BS for some sharpening stones... The works. Any edge I can think of is going to be taken.

Some might call me a twink. I prefer competitive!

Actually...

Twink is ALL about how you get your gear. People say they are going to get a lvl 19 or 29 twinked out without a lvl 60's help, but realistically it is impossible. There is no way someone with lvl 19 resources is going to be able to buy dual 15 agi enchants/crusader, Librams that require crap tons of time spent doing Felwood quests, and all the BOP equipment that took me like 20 runs through VC and WC to finally get.

A level 19 with good gear is just a level 19 with good gear. A level 19 with things impossible for a level 19 to obtain is a twink. TYVM, learn to type if you plan to flame.

Haha, I have too much Xp! I really wanted the fishing hat and the arena trinkets, but by the time i got her to where she is now I didnt have enough XP left to do it...I think getting all the zone XP between westfall and STV might even be enough to push me to 20.

Wrong!

What makes a "twink" a twink is the fact that you have a lv. 60 character (preferably) that pours hundreds of thousands of gold down to a lower level character, usually a 19 or 29.

The fact that you have the best gear, weapons, and enchants for your level, but did it all yourself with no help from anyone else, or gold from higher characters does not make you a twink.

Someone needs to refresh on their terminology as well.
