Weekend GoalsFollow

Ho ho ho!
A bit premature maybe, but today is the last working day for me in 2006.

This time we'll divide our goals into Weekend goals and Holiday goals.

WG:
Wow: I liked the last trip we made into Scholomance, so for this weekend the plan is to go back and finish as many quests as possible (up to jandice now)
Some PvP will be involved, most probably while LFG for Scholomance. My performance is ghastly, racking up less than 1K honor per day before I get bored with AV.

RL: Christams baby! I need to go out and buy lots of presents, help out my mother in preparing the holiday dinner (groceries, some cooking), and take out my fiancee to a nice place since this week has been hard on her.

HG:
WoW: I have until the 3rd of January 2007, so I hope, in this time frame, to be able to buy my HWL razor.
If I get more into the spirit of killing things, I might spring for a piece of armor as well.
Other than that, continue to accumulate funds for my epic mount training, I'm at 300g now.

RL: Christmas has been dealt with, so it leaves us with New Year's eve. This year the group is a lot smaller, so it will only be a quiet evening with another couple, and maybe a friend or 2. Not the huge party we had last year, but what can you do when almost all your friends are abroad?

So tell me fellow Allakhazamers, what are your plans?

Edit: Forgot the disclaimer.
Please only one post per person.

Woot! Vacation only a few sweet hours away!

WoW Goals:
1)Want to farm the crap out of some stuff for a spellpower enchant for my GM Mageblade. Smiley: grin

RL Goals(no, seriously...that's all my WoW goals...why don't you believe me?):
1)Spending the 22nd with my family. My sister's taking me out for some BBQ at a place I've never eaten. Then going over to my parents' place to open some gifts.

2)Going to visit my grandparents on the 23rd, coming back the 25th, iirc.

3)Would really like to spend some time with my GF when I get back.

Oh, and BTW, it's officially 12:18am on Dec 22 here where I live. Happy Birthday to me. Smiley: yippee

Edit: Happy early birthday to Webjunky! And soobooboo!

And of course more than half our gifts will be combo Bday/Christmas. They always are.

Weekend goals:
Grind 1-2k honor on my rogue (I still need 9k, but getting that in the weekend is totally out of the question)

Grind around 200g for my epic mount (I crave a red raptor for my rogue)

Grind to Argent Dawn friendly on my 51 shaman.

I probably should grind my 49 warlock a bit, but its SO boring :( (I mean who would have thought that playing a complex caster class with lots of debuffs, dots and other goodies would be boring? Its wierd but I just have trouble liking the class :/ )

Holiday goals:
A: Buy the last 3 presents, and deliver them to the right persons. Kind of boring those RL collection quests and fed-ex quests.
B: Relax and have lots of non-wow fun.
C: Eat lots of good food.

Happy birthday Poldaran!

WOW Weekend: Any amount of honor on my mage is good. I am at my parents and aparently they only know the word 'dial-up'. So the latency issues are a bit of a problem. Hopefully I can get 6-8k or so and get my 4th peice of the rank 12/13 set.

On my tauren warrior maybe get 1-2 levels. Currently halfway through 31.

RL: Spend time with family and high school friends. Going out tomorrow and all weekend mainly with old friends. Strip clubs for my freinds' birthday is a must.

Holiday WOW: Well I have until January 18th until school starts, so I will be playing TBC just a bit. My current goal is to get the full rank 12/13 set replacing my T1 and T2 and the GM dagger.

On my warrior I have decided to level him up and am hoping for at least mid 50's by the expansion. This may, or may not happen.

Holiday RL: With the family until the 5th. I have to plan for my next semesters classes and talk with some friends so we can match schedules. On the 6th or so going to Baja with my dad on a surf trip, pending a swell.

My goal's to drive down to the bay area with a beautiful woman and spend the next week with a good friend and his family for the holidays. Hopefully I won't have any near-death experiences or cats throwing up on me like last time I tried this Thanksgiving of 2001 (it was a different friend).

WG: Get my hunter to 40. I have to get him out of the BG's, it's hindering my leveling :)

HG: Get my hunter as high level as possible in the next 12 days. Maybe start another hunter alt hehe.

Merry xmas!!!!

Today is a half-day for me. Off at 1:00. I have a four and a half-day weekend! Smiley: grin

Tonight: Clean house, prepare for storm that is the holiday weekend.

Saturday: a little pre-Christmas shopping for last minute groceries (perishables like milk & bread). Fight off the rest of the hordes of people battling to do their last-minute shopping. In the evening, my wife and I are going to a cookie exchange party. It's where you make up two dozen of your favourite cookies and take them, and copies of the recipe, to the party and exchange them with the other people there.

Sunday: Recover from eating masses of cookies. Cook in preparation for a pre-Christmas potluck party. Attend said party.

Monday: Light breakfast & gift exchange with my wife. Then attend a forced family Christmas lunch (i.e., nobody wants to go, but it's a family tradition, so we all suffer each other for a couple of hours). Try and digest all the food before having dinner with the in-laws. Interestingly enough, I look forward to my in-laws' get-togethers much more than my own family's.

Tuesday: Bermuda is one of the lucky countries that celebrates Boxing Day. Wake up with a food-induced hangover. Have a nice, traditional Bermuda breakfast of codfish & potatoes. Go to in-laws' for lunch- have Christmas leftovers. See my wife off at the airport, and commence my local vacation until January 2nd. Smiley: yippee

Edit: Happy birthday, Poldaran (I almost called you Polly as a nickname until I spelled it out!) Smiley: laugh

Edit#2: Happy birthday to Webby! Smiley: grin

Holiday Goals:

- Entertain my future in-laws as they visit from New York. I can call them future in-laws now as my S.O. proposed last Friday =D

- Finish mailing Christmas cards - My vacation this past week kind of threw me off schedule.

- Dinner and gift exchange with my mom's side of the family. Dad's side? Totally can't merge schedules to meet up, so probably won't see them until January sometime.

WoW Goals:

- Check out the Burning Crusade Beta, we just got an invitation while on vacation.

- Run some guild AV matches

- Try to run hunter through SM another time or two

Ho hum... Spending most of the weekend with real life family... WoW fam gets short shrift.

IRL... last minute shopping (dont anticipate anything to harrowing). find a way to un-pinch this nerve in my shoulder. turn 3-0. hopefully enjoy a quiet/peaceful xmas.

In WoW... play time probably limited mostly to Saturday. All I really want is to get all the way through BRD. Beyond that... PvP a bit with my 38 Druid (just got his Fleshhide Shoulders... will purchase his first few bits of PvP gear this weekend). Quest/level a bit with my 35 Warrior.

Happy holidays, all!

EDIT: Just went back and read more of the thread. Happy Birthday Pold & Web. Mine's sunday.

Here's hoping none of us gets any combo-gifts (fat chance) :p. Capricorn pwns the Alla boards!

Well, I failed last week and was all into PvPing all weekend. This week I did the opposite and did pretty much nothing.

I did get Intanj to 52 and snag a few people to run me through ZF for the quests finally. I also setup Trashfeen's (my warrior) UI. And I got about 1k honor on Feen (all week).

This weekend + holiday?
Will probably enter AB and AV this weekend and grind honor until my eyes bleed. Seems to be a standard thing on the weekend.

Wouldn't mind getting Intanj up there a bit more, and picking up her Thrash Blade (yeah, she's a bit late) would also be a nice thing.

Lastly, farming for some cash or mats for Fiery for the rogue. (Shouldn't be too hard, gold has been rolling in for her lately)

The holiday should be fairly quiet. Christmas eve alone and then to my friend's parent's house for a bit on Christmas day itself.

My mom, brother, and 1yr old nephew are coming up on the 7th, so that will be the real Christmas for me :) (I haven't seen my nephew since April...he's grown a ton in 8 months I'm sure!)

And...lastly...
Happy Birthday Poldaran!
And Webjunky, and any others I skimmed over!
And grats on engagments, marriages, births, and other stuff I probably missed!

After today I have ten, count them ten, days off. And I have no idea what I’m going to be doing in game. In the real world I have bills to pay and lots of errands to run, as well as celebrating the holidays with the family. But I find myself sadly unmotivated game wise.

I’ve made provisions for a couple of blood elf characters come the expansion on Thunderhorn. I should do a lot of in game house cleaning so that I can do the same for a couple of new alliance characters on Blackhand. This would be a good opportunity to do that.

I’ve spent many hours, off and on, killing low level mobs with my priest in hopes of getting a red Santa hat to drop. I think my dwarf would look good in one. Thus far I’ve killed seemingly millions of kobolds, gnolls and humans (of the bandit variety) and the goddess of good fortune has yet to take notice. I’ll most likely try to get her attention a few more times before my vacation is over.

Outside of that I may try to get Cashara more involved in the guild. I’ve stuck my foot in the door, but I’ve not really stepped into the room yet. And I imagine she’s getting mighty uncomfortable in that position.

Happy holidays to everyone!

And happy birthday to all its appropriate! *smiles*

I would just like to say.... you all suck for having so many days off. I work a full day today, and a full day tomorrow.

Anyways, my goal was going to be to get to level 60 on my paladin, but I managed to do that last night. (as a reference for how xp is going to be in 5-mans in BC, I did a Scholo run and from the entrance, down to Rattlegore, and back to clearing the Viewing Room got me about 17% of a level, thogguh rested, so almost 9% of a level of xp, in one run)

So I guess my goals will be to kick back, relax with the family, farm some honor towards a GM 1h healing hammer. Possibly get working on my Pally's epic mount quest, and still need to do the epic mount quest on my warlock.

WG: Hoping to get a little PVP in so I can get another piece of the armor set
also need to start grinding some cash for my epic mount. I have been a little lazy in this department and let my cash get below 100 gold, so I have a bit of work here.

HG: Pretty much the same thing. My guild has decided to forgo any raids untill after Christmas, so lots of free time to work on those two things. Also a RL friend of mine has gotten his warrior to 52, so I will try help him with tthe last little push to 60.

Happy Birthday Poldaran!

EDIT: Grats thermal, missed your engagement in my first reading []

EDIT Again: My reading comprehension is really ***** today. Grats on the new baby Daniel!

I've got like 5 hours until vacation (they usually close my work early on the last day before Christmas), and 10 days off to spend in lovely, exotic, sunny... Downtown Albany, NY Smiley: oyvey.

WoW Goals:

This weekend:
-Get my druid to 45 (it's going to be tough but I'll give it a shot, he's 42 now).
-Run Uldaman a few more times, maybe Zul Farrak if I get to 45 in reasonable time.
-PVP a bit more on my hunter. Everything is a side-grade for me at this point, only sort of small incremental changes, but it's fun anyway Smiley: grin.

First off - Happy Birthday Poldaran (and an early Happy Birthday to Webjunky).

Since I have to work Wed - Fri of next week, my weekend runs through Tuesday.

WoW -
  • Some MC on my priest tonight and tomorrow.
  • Work my mage to 53. She's a about 3/4 of the way to 52, so that shouldn't be too hard. My main goal here is to have my 3rd level 60 toon before the expansion hits next month.
  • [li]If I get board with both of those ... My pally (who just became a Weaponsmith LAST weekend) needs to march her but to 43 and get her hands on something like 120 Mithril. Oh, and eventually level enough to survive in Azshara and/or Burning Steppes to start mining Thorium. But that's optional.

Real life - Christmas with the family, mini-vacation (parents time-share up the road. They've got a spare unit they've offered to let us use for the week), and drive out to SW Virginia on Tuesday to meet with some guildies (and good friends) for Christmas.

Other than that - just have fun, and stay safe.

Everyone have a very Merry Christmas and stay safe.

IRL: Just the misses and myself this holiday, so there should be a fair share of WoW involved.

WoW: no clue really. The majority of what I have now is Raid content and I'll finish up those pesky dungeons I have.

RL:

Endure a holiday weekend around my potential in-laws while keeping the girlfriend and myself sane.

Enjoy holiday weekend that doesn't involve said in-laws.

WoW: No much in way of goals, as I won't be near a PC to play. If I get on, maybe try to auction off some green that I got in BRD or level up my LW some more.

Well, after this one last day of work today, I will have a nice 11 days off. :P

I think it's time to push my Troll Warrior to level 40. She needs some more ore too since I leveled her blacksmithing up to 230 and used my stash up. I've accumulated some plate gear that is sitting in the bank just waiting for me. I still need chest armor but I can probably wait until I hit 41 and can smith one then. She needs a new grinding weapon too but I just haven't seen anything cheap that I want to give up my frost tiger blade for. I also plan on setting aside some time for her to help guildies out and perhaps join them in an instance run sometime.

My level 29 NE Rogue needs to go AH all the neat loot she picked up from BFD last night. My boyfriend ran me through with his level 53 NE Hunter so I got all the quests done but didn't get to do too much actual fighting. It would be nice if I can get him to help me with a few more quests and/or a run through WC. He wants me to have a high level Alliance character so I'll try to get a couple more levels on her at least over the next week.

My level 23 Troll Rogue on the other server did his poison quest. It didn't go totally as planned but the quest was completed successfully with no deaths so I'm happy. (The Alliance poison quest is SOoooo much easier!) I am going to get him going on the Ashenvale quests and possibly spend a little time in Hillsbrad doing the easier quests and the one that is part of that Stonetalon Venture Co. chain.

I will probably spend a bit of time on my other characters. I may gather up the BFD quests on my NE Warrior and have my boyfriend run her through since she can actually use some of the BOP drops in there. It would be nice if he could take my Dwarf warrior in too though I will have to look up the minimum level to get in there.

Real Life
Family holiday plans tomorrow afternoon/evening. Since presents are not 'required' I think I will just go find something really nice food-wise to bring instead. With most of my sister's six kids married with families now, there are just too many people to buy for these days and I don't see them often enough to know what to pick out for them anyways. I already got a present for my mom and I told my boyfriend that the nice electric grill we bought last week was his present (he's been wanting one for months.)

I didn't send cards so I probably should send a few emails to people to let them know their card was appreciated.

Christmas Eve and Christmas will be quiet. My boyfriend will be working both of those evenings so I'll be playing WoW of course. I will probably hit some post-Christmas sales on Tuesday and then just goof off for the rest of the week.
#21 Dec 22 2006 at 10:47 AM Rating: Excellent
Not sure. o.O

Was supposed to be working today, but cancelled.

WoW: Druid to 52, maybe do some instances. More honor on Rogue.
RL: Send lots of holiday cards to friends and family. Spend christmas with parents.

Happy Birthday Webjunky and Poldaran! Congrats Thermal, hope it lasts for a long time.

As for me...

WoW-Try to get enough Honor for my HWL Axe. Level my alts if I have enough time.

RL-Go Christmas shopping for my mom. Go to a friend's party and have a hell of a good time.

Nice :) Birthdays, babies, and holidays all around it looks like!!

>> I eeked out just enough honor last night for my 2nd piece of Warlord equip. I'll pick that up tonight then keep on grinding for more. It's AV weekend so I am looking forward to more battles.

>> More raiding! After turning 60 my current guild sort of fell apart when alot of 60's left. I've been passing the time PvPing but I really want to get my feet wet in some of the 60 instances. After doing 1 run of Scholomance the other night, I am excited and ready to try out others.

>> I really need to work on First Aid and I want to Fish some more. I need gold (only have around 220) because I think I'll look pretty silly in all Warlords Gear riding a common Kodo at some point. Hopefully doing more of my second point will help with some gold also.

IRL:

>> I need to do some last minute shopping for my wife and kids. I hate shopping so this will be an adventure battleing in the toy stores alongside all the other last minute shoppers.

I'm only at lvl 22 right now...so I'm not too concerned w/leveling up this weekend or over the holidays. I'm planning on working towards becoming exalted in Ironforge though...and doing everything I can to boost my mining and blacksmithing. I might also give Gnomeregan a shot if I can find a group willing to let me tag along.
#25 Dec 22 2006 at 11:04 AM Rating: Excellent
I won't even be logging in again until the 26th. So my goal will be to get a level on my druid, up to 18. I honestly don't even know if I'll be able to do that.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone. And if you don't celebrate anything at this time of year, enjoy the break or time off from work or school.

See ya'll next week.
