I hate when they "restart" the servers, they say its only gonna be a 10 minute delay.
I've been sitting here 45 minutes...I went and made a cup of coffee...watched a TV show...played guitar, tried to log on and its still down.
At least give me a time frame to work with here Blizzard...I don't like being lied to.

is it just me or did they not give us any warning this time? Usually we get at least a 15 minute countdown. I was in the middle of a HUGE fight in ZF with a great party. Bet I'm gonna get creamed the second I log back in.

from the FAQ - I omitted the "Tuesday is maintenence" part since it does not apply. paragraph c looks like it applies here, since the OP thinks that he's talking directly to Blizzard personnel.

I find this kind of text highly annoying. And unfortunately I see it quite often. It implies that someone at Blizzard picked out this specific player and intentionally told him/her something false just to ruin their day.
Let’s turn this around a bit. You tell your spouse you’re going to the grocery store for a carton of milk and a loaf of bread and that you’ll be back in fifteen minutes. On the way you have a flat tire and naturally your cell phone was left at home and your spare is also flat. You end up getting home an hour and a half later.
How dare you! You lied to you spouse. You are an evil person. You could have at least given your spouse a time frame to work with…He/She doesn’t like being lied to.
To sum up with a paraphrase; excrement happens.
TallVenusian, actually, when you log back in, you should be outside the instance again. It resets on server reboot.

Does anyone know what they fixed yesterday? I was also wondering if every rare mob is back on the map after a restart? In which case, I should try to get close to a spawn point when I get a 15 min warning for restart.
Personally, I was waiting for BG for 30 min when restart happened so I was a little annoyed, but I understand anyways. It's not like they said "hey laroche is next in line, let's restart his server"
When I logged back in, The wait for AV was only 1min since everyone was getting back in queue. It made my day! We were able to beat the horde even with a good bunch of them on defense. I'm sure my honnor will be good for that 1 battle. I don't play much these days so getting 1000 honnor instead of 400 is a good boost (or whatever I can expect to get in a quick 25min game of AV these days).

Oh, and if they warn you of a restart, it's probably not a good idea to board a ship. My boyfriend did that last night on his NE Hunter and when he got his character selection screen back up, it didn't show him as being in any zone. When he logged in he was freefalling in mid-air supposedly over Boulderslide Ravine in Stonetalon. He died and showed up in the Stonetalon graveyard but the map was showing his tombstone in the middle of Mulgore. He rezzed at the graveyard since he was supposed to be meeting someone to run them through BFD. Otherwise he would have gone to try to find his body. It was funny - sort of. :P

These posts are fairly common but you can't really blame people, you get the same response taking a pipe from a crackhead.
Eh, the restart happened last night at almost midnight my time. I took at as a sign that I really should be logging off and going to bed ...
So that's what I did ... Now, to log back in tonight and finish my mage's trek towards 60 ... (only 8.5 more levels to go!)
