In the forum faq there is something about trial accounts and the limitations placed on them... one of which is no mail iirc.

Edit: Also, yes you should be able to turn the swear filter off under interface options. Forget the exact wording, but look for something like profanity filter.

WoW su- ... oh crap I forgot where I am.

Maybe. I was hoping Rouge would be more ffxi thf-esque... Shaman seems fun though.

I do admit I love the interface, even tho I dont understand half it yet, I just cant get past the cartoonishness. Smiley: frown

Edit: Found "Inability to trade via the auction house, mailbox, or player-to-player.". I guess that means no receiving personal mail. Damn. Smiley: glare

You can't get past the cartoonishness?

Check out these MMORPGs.

http://iro.ragnarokonline.com/
http://eng.pristontale.com/
http://www.mapleglobal.com/
http://flyff.gpotato.com/
http://www.yogurting.com/
http://www.roseon.com/

Then come back and tell me WoW is cartoony. :p

I like WoW 'cause it has a distinct art style. You can tell Westfall from Tirisfal at a glance. Unlike FFXI's bland art - is this Ranperre's Tomb or Delkfutt's Tower? What am I walking on? Some sort of bland gray rock? So either I'm in Qufim, Gustaberg, Meriphataub, Buburimu...etc.

This is why we have so many MMO choices, heh, to each his own.

Another quetion, forgive me for i am n00b, I bought WoW LOOONG ago, and registered it, played for 2 days, and now I just found my old code, and put it in to upgrade, and of course, it says it is in use.

Can I use that code somehow, with the characters I have on the trial account?
If you know what I am asking.

I don't wanna have to start again. Yeah, Ima pansy.

But I certainly dont want to have to buy a new copy. Smiley: glare

Well, if you can remember the old username and pw you can re-open that account. However, you'll loose all the trial chars. If you're going to want to keep the trial account, you'll need to buy a new copy of the game... Just like in FFXI (or any MMO), the account code is a one use thing.

If you registered the store-bought copy, you set up an account, correct? All the characters and such you created back then should still be there. Just set up payment info, and you'll be golden. If you can't remember your account name/password/whatever, contact Blizzard with your CD-key and they should be able to help you. Blizzard, unlike Square-Enix, never deletes inactive accounts. :)

Edit: D'oh! Tomec beat me! :)

I want my trial characters, not the original. Oh well. Smiley: frown

And, SE rarely deletes them. You can almost always get them back, you just have to bug the **** out of them.

And to the other comment, somehow, I have no CLUE how, but I've bought FFXI 5 times, due to new PC's and moving and such, and 1 set of codes. Well I gues that makes sense, it was the same content ID, but still, thats weird. Or not. Im confused now.

Im gonna go back to trying to find a god damn Poacher for this stupid quest. >.<
Its all Skinners and... something... else...

That is all.
