Okay well they don't hate me
Currently I'm about 1k into honored rep with the Argent Dawn. Last night I noticed I wasn't getting any rep gains from kills in EPL and WPL. I had my trinket on and it showed the AD Commission in my buff slot. I was getting rep prior to the patch but that 1k into honored could have come from quest turn-ins, I don't remember for sure. I did notice the buff said it allowed for insignias to drop but nothing about rep from kills. Someone mentioned a cap but that it was halfway into revered or something. I'm only started into honored. Is this normal or is this a bug I need to report?

You dont get rep from normal kills after honored.
thats why people save their tokens for when they hit honored.
I believe you still get rep from the UD instances.

From honored on you only get rep from token turn ins, scourgestone turn ins, cauldron quests, boss kills (strat or scholo, possibly naxx?).
And quest turn ins.
Where your standing now, You either have a LONG grind for the cauldron quests, or you need to start running those instances as much as possible.

I believe in Honored you still get rep from elite trash mobs in Strat/Scholo. At Revered you only get rep from killing bosses. Also, at least at Honored, I believe you can kill some kind of Shadow mage type mob in EPL for 5 points each. They don't spawn many places and look like they share spawn points with another mob type that doesn't share this occurance.
Best way would probably be to save all turn-ins you can from now on and grind near a cauldron while trying to run Strat/Scholo.

Honored through to Revered you get rep from Elite kills in instances. You can also kill the Shadow Mages in EPL.
Blizzard implemented some sort of nerf/buff/whatever to gaining rep recently. That may be causing issues. I've seen reports of a nerf to Timbermaw rep gains, but other stuff was buffed, such as being able to do the lowbie quests to bring up your rep with a certain faction, such as the Exodar for their mount and stuff.

Rep gains across the board have gotten a major boost.
Gains per mob kill are still the normal 5/15/25 they were before.
Gains for a turn-in however are up. For example, 5 Deadwood Feathers, before the patch would net 25 points of Timbermaw Hold rep (that's why it took my priest - alchemist - forever to get to Friendly). After the patch? 75 pts for each turn-in. That's why in 2.5 levels my mage went from Hatred to 25% of the way to Honored.
Also, it's not just Timbermaw. I finished most of the Burning Steppes quests last night (the ones that give you Thorium Brotherhood rep). In 5 quests, I got over 1100 rep for the turn-ins. My poor rogue (which has turned in ... about 40 of the repeatables at this point) has just 1500 rep. Big difference. I've not tried any of the repeatables there after the patch, but I'm willing to bet that they're at the 75 rep per turn-in level, too.

Can anyone else confirm this? I hope this is true. That means i have enough feathers to get exhalted! I have over 400, around 430 and im well into revered!
Wait, I have beads not feathers, I hope they are still the same on rep!

I'm almost certain I was getting 75 rep per feather turn in.

In relation to AD rep, I've noticed after the patch the trinket teds to play up. Quite often if i have it equiped while changing zones it will cancel the buff and I wont pick up scourge stones. The trinket is still equiped but the buff does not show up. I have to unequip and re-equip it to get it to work again.

I've noticed this as well. But being on my warrior a quick Battle shout puts it back up on the buff slot. \shrug.

revered to exalted: scourgestones, bosses in strat/scholo, cauldron quests, healthy dragon scale
do all the quests, even the insignia ones if you don't want the gear. the first time you do them, you get 500 rep a pop. do all quests in strat/scholo. some have really cool stories and reasonably good gear rewards. you will also get seal/rune of the dawn. also, the quest for healthy dragon scale (chain starts here) is really nice. 50 rep a pop and you can get 0-5 scales per scholo run.

edit: rep gains USED to be just to half a rep level. they changed it to make it easier in 1.6. so the second half of revered to exalted was a royal pain in the ***. most rep grinds were again toned down a lot in 2.0.
