1-60 = Not a fun eXPerience anymoreFollow

Who said they were tired of getting experience points from battlegrounds or repeatable rep turn-ins?

1. It used to be fun to PVP (before level 60). As a bonus, you earned experience.
2. I used to get feathers in Felwood, or beads in Winterspring, to turn in to earn both rep and experience. Now, you just earn rep.

Again, I realize that everyone has a level 60 and is all excited about the PVP epics. But, somehow we got an experience subtracted from this game that many of us used to get to 60. As it stands now, I don't think I'll battleground PVP any characters until they get to 60 anymore.

I think there are a few faulty assumptions here:

Who said it was no longer fun to PvP? Did all of the BGs change or did Bliz make PvP the equivalent of the FFXI leveling system? (I am saying Bliz, not what the users may have turned it into...)

We all do? Sweet! Where is mine? Right now, the highest I see of mine is 41. Hell, you say you are only 58... Smiley: confused

I understand why you are upset by Bliz removing exp reward from BGs, but that doesn't mean that you are not allowed to have fun still. Why not do PvP to bank all your honor and then get the "phat lewtz" once you ding 60?

Not everyone used their tokens or wanted the XP from BGs. I still think players should have the option of turning in for XP and Rep... but I prefer to use Tokens for gear for my bracket-camped characters.

The little XP was just a byproduct. Now your honor is giving you a much better reward and you earn more rep from rep farming. Really, it's not a bad deal at all.

If you were PvPing for the XP, then you were doing it for the wrong reason.

If you farm rep, you now gain around 50% more rep around the block, meaning that whatever you farm rep for, you only need to spend 2/3th of the time you originally had to spend. How can that not be nice?

I leveled from 18 to 53 almost exclusively in battlegrounds. Knowing what was coming, I played day and night to reach exalted in all three battlegrounds, bought all the gear, and had fun. It was a lot of fun. I am not playing now because I don't get experience and I need to level to use those 60 epics in my bank, but once I get to 60, I will grind some more to get a few items.

What the expansion means is that I won't have to spend endless nights raiding. I hated raiding because guilds tend to be fascist and you repeat the same scripted routine over and over like an automaton. Now the raids will be smaller, so there will be more emphasis individual contribution--and those old 40-man raids will be doable by smaller groups of higher level players. It all sounds good to me.

At 60 there are still things some worth quests/activities.

The first 0.5 upgrade is worth doing (takes such a short period of time), the Fallen warrior chain is very nice (if you havenot doen it), the hand-ins and quests for ubrs are good, and attunement is always handy.

Then grind some rep, as the AD rewards are good, and the ZG rewards are just incredible considering how easy it is to get them.

Also start gathering gold for all those nice green level 61 items that will hit the AH.
