Retrieving Character List: The Neverending StoryFollow

It seems that a number of EU realms are having a great time crashing and then locking people into Retrieving Character List indefinately even though the server is back up and running. It's usually caused by entering or leaving an instance (dungeon or bg, or in some cases the officer's lounge) although continents dropping also seems to be a cause.
