Auctioneer QuestionFollow

#1 Dec 10 2006 at 1:24 PM Rating: Good
I run auctioneer like many people.

Whenever I try to duel someone, a little message pops up saying that I have performed an action limited to only the Blizzard UI, and I should disable Auctioneer. It then lets me choose to ignore the warning or to restart the UI without Auctioneer.

Either way, the duel request does not go through.

Whats going on here and can it be avoided? Is it going to get me banned?

I read on the addon page for Auctioneer that the new one won't be out for another week or two because the developers are busy. Sounds like you need to disable it in the meantime.

Thats the new version.

A patched version of the old one was released shortly after the update.

That's not a patched version. It's an alpha build and subject to lots of bugs. The dev team has been churning out alphas since patch day. Your best bet would be to upgrade to the current build, observe the readme very carefully, and see if the problem persists. If you can't deal with the bugs and error messages it's best to just wait until Dec. 19 for the final release. Alphas are, by design, meant for testing not normal usage.

Edited to add: You're best off posting on their forums with bug reports, etc. That's why these builds are being released. . .so that devs can squash bugs and get the final polished.
