Question on ethics.Follow

#1 Dec 10 2006 at 1:08 PM Rating: Default
When I first started playing WoW I played a druid which was kind of fun but i eventually got bored of at around level 15, then I went on to make a mage and a priest which i both stopped at around level 12 because I dont like depending on mana. Then I made a rogue, which was really fun for me, I actually got him to level 31... but then it got kind of old so now I have rerolled as a warlock, which was cool up until about level 20 which is where I am now, now its also getting old.

So now I am thinking of making a hunter, which i have acutally tried before with a tauren and got it to level 8, but I found the enviornment so dry and boring that I quit.

So I am kind of asking now what you think my problem is and also as a 2 side if you think hunter is a fun class, I'm going to say my own opinion which is that 90% of all these characters I've listed have been alliance, so maybe I'm sick of the quests?

But I am on a pvp server with chars with lots of money and I have a friend or two on them, so being horde would be kind of hard because I wouldnt have my friend play with me and also I wouldnt start out with a lot of money like my alliance guys would.

What do you think?

1) Where are ethics involved in this at all?

2) I just think that you are having trouble playing a class all the way through or you are not doing something with them that you find interesting. I find that you can't really enjoy a class until post-20 which is when you can start to make a decision about if you like playing it or not. So to kind of respond, I recommend trying to PvP, instance, quest, group, and solo and see which one fits your liking the most.

I don't really see how your question is related to ethics but I'll try an answer anyway. Sounds to me like you're hitting a plateau.. The same thing happened to me until I got to the point where I was able to go to other areas with my druid. Once you get to the mid to late 30's you'll have more areas where you will be able to go to grind or quest rather than being stuck at Teldrassil or Darkshore (for a druid). Or maybe MMO's aren't your bag. Leveling up can take a while and some people just aren't geared for the kind of gameplay it takes to get to end-game content. Hope this helps.

Sounds like you don't like this game.

Why are you trying to force yourself to play it?

Is it ethical to desert yout friends in their hour of need? Well, It looks like they don't have an hour of need, but you do. You want to try out Horde, but are frightened of doing it without a supply of ready cash and without support of people you know. So, what I'm going to do is address those two points.

1. Gold. Gold is easy to make, depending (of course) on how much you want to have available. Choose 2 gathering professions (skinning/herbalism or skinning/mining), plus fishing. If you apply a few minutes of game time to those professions each session, you will never hurt for ready gold.

2. Friends. Again, making friends is another easy task. Join pick-up-grooups. If you do well, add the others to your friends. Check to see if their guilds are accepting members. Be friendly, positive, and helpful. If you've gotten one toon to 31, you have a bunch of experience that other lowbies may not have - spread it around.

After a while, you'll notice that you have a lot of gold, and new friends have made you richer yet.

I honestly think you should find another game. I could list all the reason, but then it would just get tiresome.
