I noticed some posts where people say that they know how much honor they have...how? I did a few BGs yesterday and all it tells me is my kills, not honor. oh and how long should it take for a lvl 60 alliance to get the GM gun by doing 6 BGs a day?

Honor is calculated at the end of each day. When you login today and go to your "PVP" tab, it will tell you how many honor points you have (a number next to the Alliance shield symbol).

It is impossible to give you an estimate without know if you are winning/losing and what BG you are doing.
