Hey guys...

I just recently picked up a pair of "Boots of Avoidance" http://www.thottbot.com/?i=4922 and was wondering what the general consensus is on these. I am a lvl 50 warrior arms spec'd, wield a 2h axe and all of my armor is plate. Im not a hard core player by any means and this is my one and only toon. Noob, yes thats me. I dont do any huge raids, I cant really tank, I just have fun playing. Anyway, I was just wondering what everyone thinks of these boots, what are they good for? Should I ditch them and shoot for something else? Pros, cons, and opinions welcome... Thanks!

I take it you found em?

Do you run 5 man instances or PvP at all?

Boots of avoidance increase dodge by 2%, which roughly reduces your average damage by 2% (but really it means you will avoid 1 attack in 50). To get the same effect from stats would take quite a bit of agility (don't remember how much, but it is more than you will get on any item you can attain any time soon).

What are the alternatives? If you find boots than raise your armor enough to block 2% damage (there are none). If you find boots that raise your stamina more than 2% (to compensate by sustaining the damage). If you find some boots that raise your attack ability to do 2% more damage (do unto others before they do unto you).

None of these alternatives are likely, although improved attack is worth something if you ARE NOT the tank because you won't get hit as much.
