Apparently both hunters and warlocks are experiencing a bug that randomly hides the pet action bar.
HOW TO FIX
1) Logging out
-or-
2) Typing /console reloadui into the chat window which is effectively the same as logging out, but quicker.

I had issues with my elemental's pet bar last night which I couldn't solve by logging out. I ended up unloading the new CTMod which seems to have fixed it. (ran a few BGs and it popped up each time). I'd suggest trying this if the above has no effect.
Unfortunately, this bug was happening to me and I did not have CT Mod installed. Several others reported same problem and no addons installed whatsover.

Ah, so I can expect it to fail on me while rushing in AV =( Thanks for the /reload tip, hopefully Blizz will correct this soon.
